I think there might be a little bit more to actually picking with this tool. I just got one of these kits to get into an old gun safe that I lost the keys to. I found the correct size unit and slide it in and pushed all the sliders forward, they did not have much resistance, but I could not turn the tumbler at all. I proceeded to slide the picks in and out a bit but not knowing what I was doing I just wasn't getting anywhere. Good news is, I did finally find the keys to the gun safe so I didn't need to use the pick set.

Hi. You make this look easy. I got the exact same kit off Amazon. Some joy so far but its slow. Found an old bike lock out walking in West London tonight. 7 pin tubular. Got it open after about 20 minutes of fiddling, closed it, got it open again, can;t close it now so I am going to bed lol. Bought a tubular pin lock off amazon but it was 4 pins only and that one is a bugger. I've been doing all of this mind without the tension bars and will fit one tomorrow as per your instructions and get back to you . Cheers.

Thanks. I just ordered one of these and would have been most upset if I couldn't find the tension bars and thought they had been left out. They sell two versions of this at Bangood, the cheapest one does not have the tension tools. That is the only difference between the cheapest one and the slightly more expensive one.

Is it even possible to pick an Ace II since the pins require different amounts of tension? Another issue with this particular safe of mine... is that I had to apply some force even when I still had the key, pushing in on the door and almost lifting upward.. so frustrating. Yes, I've attempted single pin picking and am simply having the same problem, and I cannot find the right tension wrench to use... please help.

Nice video! I have a question though about these pics. I just picked a set of these up, and I have YET to have them open any locks I have, including a clear cheap training lock. On the clear one I can see it over drives a pin or two, and sometimes under drives one. I can manually jack with it, but it's getting quite annoying. I have tried lubing the blade areas with 3 in 1, and have gone as far as lightly sand the channels as well. But no matter what, it does in no way function anything near like you show. Do you have any tips you can pass on? Thanks

I am having the same problem. I have had mine about a week now and tried it on 4 different locks and was unable to get it to work. There are many KZbin videos of people using them straight out of the box and just working beautifully (like this video). I am lead to believe that either the tool is defective or I am defective. Both are likely. If anyone has advice, I am interested to hear it!

You're the 10th YT channel I've seen using the lock pick tool. I ordered them I can't get it to work. It won't open the safe, won't open a cheap cabinet I have for storing paint and kick knacks, it won't open the tool box or any other lock I have that is tubular. Every channel literally shows just sticking it in and a little wiggle and done. Tried with 7 tensioning bands down to 0 tensioning bands. Either I am missing something or I have a defective set. Any hints or tricks on the use of the lockpick set?

@volunteerwork77617 жыл бұрын
no, some locks have varying pin tension and spring heights and that doesn't allow this pick took to manipulate the lock, though you could manually adjust the rods until you feel a click though that is sometimes harder then single pin picking. Overall these are quite good locks since not many criminals have these picks or even understand the concept and you should be quite safe.
