Very traditional and beautiful. Thank you for showing us your people. Keep the culture going strong. Don't forget who you are. Something about Hawaiian music.. brings sadness and joy at the same moment to me. With love and respect... from Croatia.

And just in sync in general, doing all the foot and work, twirls, singing and on top of all that having to hold the drum while keeping in the rhythm, and do it all with such perfect synchronization, much respect to the girls! Just beautiful.

Hermosas!!! Qué lindos recuerdos cuando tomaba clases con mi Profesora Yolanda. Conocí estas bellas danzas que al bailarlas sentía esa paz que solo se siente al ejecutarlas. Ray Fonseca un gran promotor de la danza hawaiiana.

A language that is not written but only spoken/ sung!
@steveboy73024 жыл бұрын
it is written thats how they learn it by reading it
@juliefr0g4 жыл бұрын
@@steveboy7302 ...what. you learn language by speaking it ahaha.. like babies you know?
@chipoztle3 жыл бұрын
julia_recovery actually Hawaiian language is easier to learn by reading it. It’s easier to start reading then build your way up.
@breathedarlingokay3 жыл бұрын
@@chipoztle the hawaiian language wasnt actually a written language until u.s. missionaries came and wanted it written down or something like that (then proceeded to steal the nation and turn it into the '50th state'. oof). it traditionally was a spoken language only. truly, i believe the best way to learn a language so you can be as fluent as a native speaker is to do so like you did your native language -- by speaking it first. being surrounded by it. picking up words and their meanings. then you can go and learn how to write it, grammar, etc. from schooling.
@chipoztle3 жыл бұрын
@@breathedarlingokay yea I know 🌝. Lol, I’m just going off of what I know. I learned Hawaiiana when I was like 7-8 by choice since my whole family could speak it but I couldn’t. It was a lot easier for me to read off of
