I always thought as a kid there couldn’t be two hulks on the screen at the same time, and that’s why David didn’t just turn into the Hulk at the end. It’s because the other creature was there. My cousin when he was little thought when he only changed back half way that it was another David Banner. Ah to be a kid.

One of my favourite episodes..👍🏻💯 I just feel that David wanted to cure this guy first seemed odd..like cure your self man then this dude. Only because it was just a matter of time till he was shot and killed by the town/police. I felt angry and sad for David when Del Frye threw the cure and it broke...that part gives me chills, still.👍🏻💯 Brilliant show. The Hulk is one of my favourites from marvel comics.

The cure knocks you out for a few days so David wanted to ensure Frye was cured before he administered the serum to himself. David is selfless while Dell Frye is an evil menace.

I find it fascinating that even though David himself has been Hulking out for years, he's still in shock to witness another person metamorphorisize. I sometimes wish this show had featured a few more science-fictional villains to raise the stakes and give the Hulk a real challenge.

I heard that one of the plots that was being considered for a follow-up Hulk movie to "Death of the Incredible Hulk" would have featured Banner actually being temporarily cured of his condition, only to have to deliberately subject himself to another gamma radiation overdose so that, as the Hulk, he could stop an insane scientist who planned to create an army of Hulks for some kind of evil purpose. That would have been a fantastic movie, but it got canceled because the three previous Hulk movies fared so poorly in the ratings.

Other shows like Wereworf (1987 series) devolved into the concept where everyone could become a werewolf and the concept became trite. In the hulk TV show universe, David was especially rare, his body had a unique chemistry that enabled him to transform into the creature. If everyone could become a hulk, then it takes away from the character's uniqueness.

The Hulk's powers were nerfed quite a bit for this show, due to being limited to a 1970s TV show budget. It made sense given the limitations they had to work with.

However for this episode as the Hulk in this series has gotten shot and was perfectly fine after I put it as the evil Hulk was much older and not as powerful 😊

Logically, Del's Hulk is dealing metabolically with healing up all of the infirmities of Del's advanced age. The rheumatoid arthritis destroys joints. I imagine with further transformations he would have gotten stronger as the age related degeneration was healed.

En tributo a dell frye, siempre podré decir que en parte lo comprendía, el lo único que quería era estar sano, y si con el poder que regresó a el, generó lo que generó, solo era una respuesta a tanto abuso sobre de su persona, a mí se latió que matara a brad y siento que fue algo similar con frank towsend, otro cabron que abusaba de el, parece increíble, pero a diferencia de david, dell, murió, siempre defendiendo a su alter ego, lo que david no, él quería destruir a Hulk, y cuando llora al ver el suero roto, muchas cosas pasearon por mi mente, una, queahi se daba cuenta que por el momento, Hulk seguiría con el, cosa que el odiaba, Hulk, podría haberlo salvado de la muerte, de ataques químicos, de descargas eléctricas, de ceguera, invalidez, morir ahogado, etc, y David, siempre odiaría esa parte de el, eso como que re difícil de aceptar, y más, porque Hulk, era bueno, dell, murió con la cara al sol y con su Hulk, con el, david, aunque había hecho lo correcto, odiaba seguir con ese Hulk, que a pesar de todo, seguiría salvándole la vida en cuanto se presentará la ocasión.

Carajooo... que momento para los que idolatramos esa serie, y con la que crecimos, mi episodio favorito de la serie, me fascinaba y siempre me fascinará, muy diferente al comic, pero con una temática muy interesante, eternamente aplaudiré que lou ferrigno, le diera vida a Hulk, pero más aplaudiré y admirare, el pedazo de actor que fue bill bixby, encarnando al dr. David banner, no puedo creer, como es que no le dieron un grammy o algo, era el personaje principal de la serie, Hulk, era secundario, porque de un episodio completo, Hulk, salía unos minutos, toda la chamba, la hacía bill, excelente actor, excelente Hulk, bueno hasta el papel de jack mcgee, me fascinó, bendita serie, no sé porque rayos la cancelaron, pintaba para diez temporadas, caray.
