eric bana movie the whole scary fearful monster thing and even making references to other monster movies like king kong frankenstine even the t rex from jurrasic Park Godzilla and when they thoughtfully turns the Hulk’s characterization into a deeper metaphor for trauma the dramatic back story of bruce banner with his dad killing his mum and the phycological drama stuff make it even @GodlyDCUO After Hulk got dominated by Thanos in the opening, there really wasn't a reason to have Hulk in the movie; it was made clear that this isn't Hulk's fight, and the heroes may not get their way. Hulk _was_ afraid, but he wasn't afraid of Thanos, he was afraid of dying, as shown in one of the deleted scenes. As for his Endgame treatment, I can't defend that.

This is a really perfect scene for a Hulk's revenge battle. Except I imagined it differently. During a really hard ass-kicking, Thanos would be forced to use his stones again to defeat Hulk and escape. Hulk would notice that and try to take his Infinity glove off. But due Thanos being confused and weak and them both touching the glove, some energy shit from the snap would go wrong and along knocking Hulk out out heavily like big time, it would also trigger the transformation from Savage Hulk to Professor Hulk that we saw in Endgame. Only then Thanos escapes.

A big reason as to why the mcu doesnt make sense to me is because they weaken characters like hulk. Thanos may have defeated hulk in the comics too, but that never once deterred the hulk from taking him on again. In fact, in stark contrast of thanos defeating the Hulk, he cites him as one of the very few beings that he avoids confrontation with. The hulk in the comics has faced off with dormammu and galctus and wasn't even scared of them.
