What's interesting is that I think that this Hulk is actually LEARNING as he fights, in addition to becoming stronger. When the fight starts, he's just mindlessly attacking like an animal, but as the fight goes on, and he becomes angrier and more powerful, he actually starts blocking and countering Saitama's attacks, picking up on his patterns. It's very interesting, and something I don't think we've ever seen from Hulk before.

In the manga, he fought god killer Garou and that guy was catching up if not became stronger than him but Saitama’s limitless potential suddenly rises to the point Garou couldn’t catch up to his strength anymore. It doesn’t matter if Hulk gets stronger bc Saitama would just bypass that and get strong enough in a short amount of time to one punch him.

Finally a guy that’s actually heard of the hulk and knew what his powers are. I swear marvel producers must have just been told about the hulk by a friend then tried to recreate him from what they could remember they were told. Cause no hulk fan would ever do him dirty the way end game and infinity wars did. The only way to defeat hulk is to just punch him so far away he can’t find you and eventually calms down. Otherwise he just powers up till reality dies. And this cartoon really nails that well I think. Love this so much

its not that the mcu writers dont know about the 'true hulk' or that they dont remember anything. its that comic marvel and marvel cinematic universe is WAY different and has to be. they need to dial all these heroes and villains down from their comic book powers or the movies would be over in an instant and there would be no emotional part to the movies. it also helps build structure and understanding so its a good thing mcu heroes are way weaker than their comic book self. theyre simply just too powerful for it, hulk would never die. dr strange's magic would be surreal and iron man, being human, would find ways to become so ridicuolously powerful. animation marvel like what if shows true power of dr strange if ur interested in that but we can only hope the writers of what if make more for other characters like hulk.

I dont personally think Hulk would be a worthy foe for Saitama. Not atleast the MCU's. Infact not even the strongest MCU heroes or villains even compare to Saitama's. Even Boros from One Punch Man universe would be a lot for MCU characters given the difference in power scale. The only supervillain or hero I think which could make a tough fight against Saitama would be Superman or someone from DCU (I'm not too much into DCU) who imo too would only make a good fight but lose eventually. Hulk had a lot of potential in the comics but MCU nerfed him waaaay too much. Especially in movies like End Game where he was just a big fat joke. I loved Hulk's concept, character design and story but the more Hulk is included in new gen MCU's, the more I lose respect and now I just feel pity for such this character.

At the moment I'm too tired of the cliché mainstream animes and manga going on like One Piece, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Black Clover which are all just too same and there's nothing new to it. Its just today's audience which never gets bored with the same cliché shonen animes which start with a not too strong but high spirited main character which is usually dumb but has some weird distinguishable powers. It was this reason I switched from action to slice of life and rom-com animes which all had some uniqueness and wholesomeness to it which could warm my corrupted heart. But then I discovered One Punch Man. I found the 1st 2 episodes absolutely ridiculous and dropped it immediately to only come back to it after a few months and giving it another try when I was very hooked to the show and its uniqueness. I never thought such an uninteresting protagonist could make up to such an outstanding show. I could never predict what would happen in the show and just rooted for every other characters other than Saitama and was a completely unique experience. One is a great author and if you know One's story you'd know he aint a talented artist but a crappy one so its all because of the writing skills OPM is where it is today. OPM is one of the most popular anime franchises and even has a live action.

So, gotta be honest, when I started watching this I was expecting some cringy choppy animation ala fanfiction animated, but I was proven wrong the moment they started fighting. You have incredible talent, I felt like every punch and explosion had a similar if not the same weight and impact as they do in the show, The sound design was perfect imo, and sure the Voice actors could use a better mic, but it did not take away from the animation, for me at least. Great job, 10/10 would watch again.

I love this lore accurate hulk fight, where the more damage he takes and the angrier he gets the stronger he gets. The fight choreography is also top fucking notch. The spine animations when they're standing still is stiff and awkward, but every single fight shot is impeccable.
