I used to drive an old black and white P7B when I just turned 20. One day, I was parked next to a state trooper who was friendly and wanted to talk about my car. Towards the end of our conversation, he tells me “you should get this one, next.” He of course was driving a brand new charger pursuit. AWD, 5.7L V8 and the same color blue as the one you’re auctioning off. Ever since that day, I wanted to buy a charger pursuit. Eventually I departed from my retired police cruisers. I gave my younger brother my crown vic and then I bought myself a 2dr JK Wrangler. Even now I still want a charger. Pursuit, scat pack, any 2015 and up with a V8 is all I care about. Good luck bidding!

It's got a presence to it. It's very intimidating especially with the dark color and black hubcaps. And with that HEMI V8, these things haul ass! It's no wonder several police agencies use these when they're not using Explorers. However, I do miss seeing Crown Vics patrolling the streets. Every so often I'll see a volunteer sheriff still driving one and maybe a sprinkle from the Sheriff's Department. My police department retired all of them and have replaced them with either Dodge Chargers (2015-present with a few 2011-14 putting around) and Ford Explorers (2016-19 making the majority) I am seeing more and more 2020-presents which is no surprise.

cams and lifters on the 5.7. front suspension problems
@nathane22432 жыл бұрын
Front end is heavy so suspension. Trans is solid. Engine is cams and lifters. It's required that you replace the stock oil pump for a hellcat oil pump on the 5.7. Easy 4 bolt job that will grant you an extra 20ish psi. Your cam and lifters will greatly appreciate it. Other then that, the 5.7 is a tested, tried, true and reliable engine with 370hp and big market for tasty mods to easily put you close to 500+. Maintenance is everything. A lot of people complain because they don't have the money to maintain nor can they wrench. They will blame the car as a problem when it's actually them

Can I ask where you get your tires from? Tires are just so expensive anymore. Also, I won’t go anywhere without at least a donut spare (unlike the other kind of donut lol) much less a full spare. Unfortunately a tire pump and fix-a-flat isn’t going to cut it when you’ve got a gash in your sidewall. How do I know? Ask my wife lol.
@hullinger3 жыл бұрын
Near me is an old car dealership that now does used tires. He sources good used tires from all of the repair stations around here in Wilmington. So when some dude buys a car and puts on rim those used tires goes to this shop. When looking through their inventory you have to be selective and sometimes, it takes a couple visits to get what you want. The prices are perfect too at $50 installed per tire.

I just purchased a 2014 Ford Explorer PPV.. I am hearing a groaning noise from the engine compartment on the right side as I accelerate, and only when I accelerate.. If I let off the gas, it stops the noise.. Anyone else know what this noise might be? It's not the drive axle or the bearings.. Like I said, it only makes that noise under load..
@hullinger3 жыл бұрын
My first thought would be the Power Transfer Unit that sits on the lower, rear, right side of the engine compartment. The oil inside needs to be siphoned out and replaced. That might be a good first-step.
@SaltyNationalist3 жыл бұрын
@@hullinger Lol, actually I brought it into the shop I work at today and took a look while it was up in the air.. Seems it just might be the carrier bearing on the right axle.. Because it only makes the noise when I accelerate.. Lol. Either way, the place I bought it from I have an appointment set for Wednesday to replace it.. And good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, that's what it is.. Lol.. Also, the transmission was recently rebuilt, so I know it's not that.. And if it is, I have a two year warranty..😀😀 The carrier bearing didn't enter my mind until I was talking to one of the other mechanics.. Lol.

Great lookin "cruiser" considering her life and usage she is actually in pretty good overall condition. The interior issues are a but annoying as those are more quality issues in my mind as opposed to use and misuse so to speak. Will be interesting to hear a final financial review of the car once she sells. I think you may have a tough time getting your investment back but you have driven it for 9 months as well and that's worth something. Also she has driven a bit of YT content monies I would guess as well? Good Luck ... great content on this one for sure.
@hullinger3 жыл бұрын
You nailed it exactly with the interior blights on this Charger. Those are quality issues and it's disappointing as they should never of happened. Every other car maker seemed to figure out how to keep their door panels from curling! I've got my fingers crossed that I'll at least break-even on this car when it sells but I'm not so sure Cars and Bids is the right venue. Your comment about the KZbin revenue got me curious too about what I made on those past videos about the car. I typically don't look at revenue on an individual vid basis but this time I pulled up the reports and found I made a total of $360. I was thinking it would have been a bit more by maybe a couple hundred bucks, but that's what it is. KZbin is a funny thing. When you're large like Doug Demuro or Hoovie, you'll get a half million views on a video and the revenue earned could cover the cost of the car. At my level and for me, it's more about the cars and just telling and sharing the story.
@goleafsgo84963 жыл бұрын
@@hullinger thanks for sharing YT revenue I was sort of thinking 500 bucks as again your channel is still growing. 360 though gets a small item or two addressed on it and for sure fingers crossed on the sale hope you come out at least whole on the other end.
