Hullo Alice! I just want to say an absolutely massive thank you for the videos you put out. They've inspired me and pushed me to new levels i thought I could never reach. 3 weeks ago i had no work and hadnt drawn in 2 whole years, today, i just had my interview and received an unconditional offer for a bachelors degree in art due to how impressed they were with my portfolio, my ideas and my progress in such a short time! Im super excited, and just wanted to say thanks, as without channels like yours i would never have went for this and succeeded. Keep making videos, i love your content!

I always compare myself to people who are better at drawing than me, like you, but then I realized that the people I'm comparing myself to are around 5 to 10 years older than me, so they have had much more practice

This is very insightful, thank you so much for sharing! I could never wrap my head around the workflow of concept art. I loved seeing concept art, just didn't know how to approach it (I want to make an indie video game, so that's why I'm interested in this haha). I really love the canyon piece, The texture of the rocks looks so cool and the colours are so pretty and go so well together . Do you have any tips on drawing rocks? I always feel like I can't find the right reference photos to use and it sucks, cause I want to draw things like rocks and trees and vegetation really well, but it's so hard finding referece that really works for me... And there doesn't seem to be any other way (which makes sense). Perhaps there is a wonderful place for reference photos on the internet, which is full of the kind of photos I need and I just haven't found it yet? Also the other pieces where you made a sketch into a finished thing were great and just the whole thing/sketchbook was interesting to see and very cool and I liked the idea of the story.

nice development. in my story the character i came up with uses the knowledge he gained from science and engineering and uses it to his own benefit. lets just say my character has the cruelty of leatherface and the skills to out do batman and strength of ten gorillas.
