Possibly the best show ever put on TV. It's name is true in another way too: If you missed an episode you could usually catch up with the next one. But if you missed more than one episode then you were truly lost. So many twists and turns. The final episode, I have to admit, I did not get the first time around. But when I watched it the second time, it clicked. I love how some characters, like Ben, were only supposed to be in one or two episodes, but the actors did such a great job that the writers found ways to keep them in the story. That's great storytelling!

@ModernDayRenaissanceMan29 күн бұрын
My advice to you is to watch it another six or seven times. The show is designed to be rewatched about 10 times. You will be amazed at how many things you miss each time you watch it. I absolutely 100% guarantee that every time you watch it you will be more and more impressed by how many more things you catch. By about the fifth time you will be addicted and realize that's the secret to the show! You start to understand everything much better by the time you gain a base knowledge of the show by the third or fourth watch through. After the 7th or 8th watch through only then can you really understand what they're actually trying to hide from you. I've seen it 15 times and I still catch things that I didn't see the other 14 times. The very first time I watched it I recorded it on VHS and we would watch it again right afterwards to see what we missed and then we would watch it again before the new episode aired the following Wednesday. So I had seen it three times during the original watch through and I took notes the entire time. It's amazing even with all of that how much I missed. I'm telling you you won't regret it. This is why so many people didn't like the ending. They didn't watch it enough to understand what was going on.

I still say that "Lost" is one of the greatest shows ever put on television. Period. I binge watch it every few years so I can experience it all over again. It helps if you can forget certain things and then be surprised when you see them... Were all questions answered? Absolutely not. But man, such a great ride. If you don't "get" the final episode, I recommend watching it a few times with closed captions on because most of your questions about what's going on are answered. I remember an interviewer saying to Damon Lindelof (one of the creators of the show) something along the lines of "I was disappointed to find out that they were all dead the whole time" to which Damon said, "What? That's not what's going on. You should watch it again. All of those people lived on that island and did all of those things!" It just shows how easy it is to misunderstand it. It can be complicated.

I just finished my umpteenth rewatch - this time, with my partner. The show is not just a show I watch, it's an experience I gift myself with almost yearly. Each time, I identify differently with each character, their development, their growth, or their redemption story. I don't understand everything about the show, even after so many rewatches. It's not about solving every mystery of the island. Each time, I gather something new. My takeaways are not about what I learn from the show, it's what I learn about myself. Lost, is that place where I think we wish we could all go at some point; a place where we could all have a fresh start. Lost is my island. And almost yearly, "We have to go back!"

Hurley was my favorite character. No surprise for most I guess. Nice to see Jorge doing this revisit.

Well we have a Hagrid for the hbo series of HP

He would be amazing! The look fits and Jorge is a great actor :) There won’t be another Robbie Coltrane but there doesn’t need to be! Jorge would do the role justice for sure

The cast needs to be British. I just won’t be right otherwise
@zaqwe4 ай бұрын
@@croissantpower it doesn’t need to be a series to begin with, it’s not right, but here we are.

@@zaqwe doesn’t mean they shouldn’t bother making it good? Bare minimum is to have at least British people in the British school otherwise it’s just nonsense

I don’t think I would have appreciated this show as a teenager the same way I would have as an adult, so I’m glad I got to watch it for the first time 20 years later. I now understand elements about life that make the show more enriching. With my humble life experiences, I’m able to see with clarity and understand things in a way I would have never as a teen. If I had watched this show as a teen, it would have caused me to miss out on much of the depth the show holds and offers its viewers. Timing is everything in life for this precise reason. The show would have not made an impact on me as a teenager but as an adult, it was in many ways and for many reasons rich, meaningful, and impactful. Anyway, the ending made me heartsick and nostalgic. It was sad and peaceful all at once and reminded me about the importance of human connections and to cultivate human relationships esp in this lonely age of tech and social media, which keep us distant and fragmented from one another. I’m nostalgic for a time before everyone got too busy for one another. Nobody seems to really make the time for or know each other anymore. We’re all strangers to one another bc of our devices. I feel like there’s a hole in my heart after the series finale. I miss living in a time when you genuinely cared about your friends and other human beings more than you do about getting likes and follows on insta and tiktok. This era is hurting my soul.

Hulu should’ve done a 20th anniversary of Lost like how Max did with Harry Potter.

When you see some of the shyte that gets big celebrations as well. Harry Potter a kids film gets a yearly thing ffs . Lost was one of the best things they did,, probably to do with it being genuine and truly inclusive,, we all know they hate that,, they prefer to race bait and scream diversity when they're anything but themselves.

Wen I worked as Install tech for Charter Communications (Spectrum) I installed at a house where the person had, all props from the show, it was so cool! I got to sit in the plane seats, touch the trash compactor, see the yeti thing, lol coolest install of a house ever!

I was there… watching it when it premiered. I was in 6th grade and was absolutely blown away. LOST was such a huge part of me growing up.

Am I the only person that immediately stopped at the rolled fruit snack credited at S1E25? Jacob didn't appear until S5, specifically the S5 finale "The Incident" that shows Jacob interacting with a portion of his candidates including Hurley in the taxi cab.

Hurly was _the best_ character on the show, and the VW Bus ride scene was one of my favorite scenes from the entire series. The joy and exhileration of Hurly, Sawyer, Charlie and Jin was truly palpable, and watching it was just _so rewarding!_
