I never ever heard a song on the radio in the 90’s not even stars, never heard that till around 10 years ago when my then fiancée was using aol music on his computer as a pandora-type thing just to get ready in the morning and stuff. My husband had cable all his life (I didn’t till around 1999) and watched mtv all the time and never saw them either. How?? This stuff is amazing!!!! It should have been HUGE!! I spent all last night at work listening to all 4 albums they are all great and I’m going to buy all 4!!

I was sitting in Grandpas recliner watching 120mins late one night eating goldfish. Stars came on and I just sat there asking who the fuck is this. I always hear a song and forget the name and band before buying it. Not this time. I wrote down HUM and Stars. Got to Hastings as fast as I could next few days and bought You'd Prefer An Astronaut. Brought that CD back to Oklahoma with me and it instantly created dozens of HUM fans when they heard it.

I was HOOKED! HUM is and will always be my favourite band, I own every album and EP they've ever produced. It was I believe 1998 my brother and I had scored tickets to see them play in Toronto, it would be my first time getting to see them live. I was freaking out! They were doing a cross Canada tour if I'm not mistaken. I ended up getting sick and couldn't go to the show. They then were in a car accident following that show, damaged their tour van, and that was it. They never toured in Canada again and I never got to see them.
