The nail extensions disappeared as soon as she started eating and not the way you described. To eat Indian food, without utensils and using fingers, would be extremely difficult with nail extensions intact.

To be honest and without any malice towards Huma( who incidentally is a damn good actor and i loved her in Mithya n Maharani), she was not rightly cast as Tarla. She doesn't look the part, whatsoever- a six foot lady doing a five foot nothing Tarlaji. Her physique itself was a non starter for Tarla Dalal's character. She looks imperious in front of Sharib as Nalin( a foot shorter). Be as it may, Huma has acted very well n given it her all. No complaints. It's just that physicality is just as important for a character of a biopic especially. Tarlaji was a roly poly, cheerful character with a pronounced gujarati demeanour and her, ' Sudhangshu, gas jala, ab pan ko chulhe pe rakh' was sorely missed. Tarla Dalal will always be loved by her fans
