People from the marathi film industry are intimidated by Sachin's vast and diverse experiences. Their insecurities make them call him names like narcissistic, full of oneself, etc. If they use these adjectives for Mahesh Manjarekar then it's understandable. That man is mediocre at everything he does but behaves like he is V. Shantaram. 😅 but Sachin and Mahesh Kothare literally changed the syntax of Marathi cinema in the 80s. Until then Marathi cinema primarily revolved around stories about Patil, tamasha, a poor farmer- cruel landlord, and Dada Kondke. Sachin and Mahesh Kothare made movies about youths in the cities like Pune and Kolhapur. This has to be my favorite episode by far. Please bring hit jodi Ashok- Sachin together. It'll be a treat to hear their stories together. ❤

People may be crtitcising Sachin for being Narcissist or whatever. But, we must admire him for 3 things: 1. Although he didn't become bigger success in BOLLYWOOD he started taking CALCULATED RISKS and making films in Marathi and his movies REALLY DELIVERED AT BOX OFFICE. So, he EXACTLY KNEW Or HAD THE KNACK to know what will Strike with the audience/viewers of his Marathi movies. 2. He has not only maintained himself very well; but he could Dance in TV shows and win the contest at much higher age. 3. He is FULL OF LIFE (VERY OPTIMISTIC) and has given a chance to so many NEW TALENT in his various ventures. Hats off to Sachin Pilgaonkar.

Sachin's family was our neighbour in Shivaji Park area, Mumbai, I have seen Sachin growing up. Yes his father was very ambitious and pushed Sachin in to film industry at a very young age. He hardly attended school. Sachin hardly mixed with children of his age or played with them. Early success went to his family's head, particularly his father. No one in the area he grew up are awed by Sachin. Yes he is Narcissist and arrogant.

I think he can brag. He work with so much perfection. In banwa banwi marathi film, you just look at his work. Dance, singing, acting all done with so much perfection. There are only few artist in this world who can act, dance, sing, direct with so much perfection. He sang songs like hi duniya maya jaal(banwa banwi), zindagi zindagi (duniyadari),...which are some of my fav. His movie navra maza navsacha I watched so many times never felt boring. His knowledge of language is immense.

When the show started Sachin was good. Later he stared praising himself for everything. A very bad host he didnt serve Kunalji. SAchin has no dining manners. He was doing Bharat natyam postures with fork n knife in his hands. Eating while talking that too with food stuffed fully in his mouth is bad manneres. Kunal Vijaykar ji you were a patient listener. Sachin mentions about Sudhir Phadke " Babuji ". Door of Babuji's house was always open to all. Babuji was staying near my school " Balmohan" we often used to visit his house. Babuji was humble and open hearted just opposite to Sachin who is a Narcissist and Arrogant. Those were great days, Acharya Atre, C. Ramchandra, Ramesh Deo, Raja Gosavi, Raja Navathe, Yeshwant Dev, Baban Prabhu, Chitra et al staying nearby. Yes and most venerable person Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar used to stay next to our School.
