I have never understood why people don't like the idea of humans evolving from lower species. It doesn't bother me in the least, I find it fascinating. And it makes perfect sense. I believe we live in a totally natural world.

to state we have evolved " from lower species " is to not understand that all life at any one time is at the height of evolution at that partiular time

They still cant explain that if we "evolved" from primates, why are there still primates? I dont just mean primates but the very ones they claim we evolved from? The very ones that still coexist with humans to this very day. What are they, the stupid primates? There is NO evidence humans evolved over time. NONE.

I never heard the idea that quadrupeds being unable to perspire or pant while running is why bipedal humans (with our sweat glands) can run down faster prey animals by inducing hyperthermia. The treadmill experiment with chimps that shows the energy inefficiency of knuckle-walking is fascinating too. We may have back problems from upright posture and trouble with our teeth that other primates don't have, but it's better to have the big brain. Um, some comments here don't seem to apply to this talk. I wonder what got chopped off at the end. I think he's got some theories that won't prove true--obesity is a trait of metabolism that is overly active during times of plenty but does very well during the all-too-frequent famines. Those folks who can never put on weight no matter what they eat? There's a reason there aren't many like them.

Yeah, it's outrageous how it's just been chopped off without any notice. (Amazingly, it even seems to be a consistent feature of lots of research/education lectures, like Robert Sapolsky's behavioral biology course.)

150 years would seem like a really short amount of time for human evolution.

Neanderthal apparently didn’t pump out enough babies, so reproduction on that level is seemingly important.

After 15 minutes of hyperspeed babble still not a single fact presented. The American style of presentation is a waste of time. I bet there was no written outline for this lecture. I also bet he did not practice this presentation even once. I think it is rude towards his (potential) listeners.

+Martti Suomivuori It's almost a certainty that change is occurring. It is also too early to tell. Sadly our destruction of the planet will likely drive us back to a more hunter gatherer species and away from a species smart enough not to destroy ourselves. I'v often wondered where language takes place in out evolution.

The title should be: Human Evolution 150 years after Darwin has been disproved. None of his speculation is science and this video is no different, just more speculation, belief, similarities but no transitions, ideas, opinions, no science, no proof. Thffppfft....

There is a lot of proof, just have to learn papers, this is more like a resume of the things we have discovered and proven to be true, we see evolution in plans and changes an it's genomes constantly, and we know now for example how weat envolved and changed because we domesticated for example

The period you know, and are describing in terms of human evolution is extremely short, almost non existing. These mutations in the mammals family is only little mutation compared to the code source that designed your specy. Humans are billions of years old, and more.Inhabited many universes, one on top of the other.Your code is very ancient, and there is nothing arbitrairy about it.No "chance".Cause consequence law is conducting your evolution. The chaotic part of you is the ultimate goal of your jacket building.Your AI part is a reciepient and a "manufacturer "of light. All in you is designed for this purpose. You must be able to forget. You must be mammals. You must be capable of fighting. You must be capable of surviving and move in your environment. You must be clever, but not too clever. You must be self replicating. And so on... Everything about you is designed to the slightest detail. You are not the result of your "planet's" evolution, but the result of the "multiverse evolution, the creation 's creation. When you understand that time is not linear, but parallel, the result in terms of addition of information is infinite. You are all over the place, same creation, with slight mutations, but fundamentally the same code. Even what you may think is a failed creation, the 99 percent predator races out there are part of a hole universal construct and equilibrium. They raise you to be able to colonize you.But they are not " others", they are your proper evolution. You are All ONE, each with a different task maintaining this construct and harvesting light. It is not about who wins and who loses, it is about continuing to expend the construct. All of you share the same home, on a multiverse scale, and maintaining it is a big job. By the way, the word"Darwin" means something😊 Dar means Home in arabic.Win means where in arabic too. Darwin means: Where is Home? HOME IS EVERYWHERE.
