The planning stage of human resource management involves: conducting a job analysis, forecasting the supply and demand of labor, and matching the supply of labor with consumer demand. In this brief video, I'll describe each of these elements and explain the process of planning in the area of human resources.

planning function in recourse management: 1. job analysis- requirements of the job, task, duties responsibilities what kind of knowledge do you need for the job. 2. job description- routine job duties, task, responsibilities 3. job specification- knowledge, skills, and abilities an applicant should have. 4. forecast labor supply/demand 5. internally= people in the organization /externally to of the organization applicants- 6. skill inventory- find people with the skills you need. 7. replacement chart- get people to be able to replace someone leaving or retiring. 8. match labor and supply- a layoff, retirnment= too much labor and no supply. hiring=, not enough labor and high demand for supply.
