It was likely a plot hole derived from the AI generated story. Artificial Intelligence doesn't seem very intelligent at all. Have you tried to have Windows Copilot use DALL-E 3 to create an image for you? I just wanted a CGI image of a Martin P6M SeaMaster painted marine green over light gray. Instead I kept getting images of airliners, C-17s or C-130s on the water's surface. Fair enough, some were on floats, but one even had just the fuselage on a wooden raft... Half of them had some green, somewhere, on the planes. The other half didn't have a speck of green anywhere. -_-;

I do believe that this is artificial intelligence writing these stories. They're too direct, and they're too cut and dry. There is a severe lack of nuances, and subtleties, that would be present if a human writer wrote them. Interesting stories; but lacking in depth.
