Hey Jana, This is a great video! I would love to see you tackle the Attachments column, since all URL to photos and such, are under there. I noticed you removed that column in this video at 9:33 . In the Power BI report i'm working on, I would like to display the photos that are collected in the field, with ODK Collect. And judging from comments in the Kobo Community official forum, there's quite some people with the same challenge.

thax for great tutorial, i have some case if use this methode, if you have many link and then you will combine your data in power bi. if your form kobo use skip logic and not data on there when your connect to pbi maybe thet column not included so when you combine with other data maybe cant similar. Hi, yes, that makes sense... So, when you set up your power query in power bi, it essentially "hard codes" in the column names. So if you add new column names, you need to go and change the power query to bring in the new column names 😫

My issue is with Dynamic Query of powerbi... i have various surveys and want to let the users of the organization launch surveys, and i want to automatically collect them and join them When i use the API to see all assets i can see and construct the URL and call Web.Content() to open all survey, it work well in desktop. But in the PowerBi serveur i cannot have an automatic refresh, it says that the serveur doesn't support dynamic query..: Do you have an idea on that? Thanks!

Ahhh, yes, I did look into that a while ago. I'm trying to remember how we thought about it working. I think one solution was to update it in Sharepoint first? I'd have to go and do more digging!!

Finally i managed to create a R scripy that runs once a day and that extract the data from all countries (filters) and create csv in a folder. then indeed connect via powerbi to these folders

Hi! Is it possible to use kobotoolbox for dairy studies ? I would like participants to answer a questionnaire once a day by mail or sms, and send them a reminder an hour later if they haven't completed it yet. Would that be possible with kobo?

Hmmm, Kobo Toolbox doesn't work through sms, so probably not the toolkit you're looking for. There are other software packages out there for this kind of data collection directly from study participants through sms. If your dairy farmers have email, Internet, computers, etc, you could send webform links via email once a day for example. And do some fancy trigger setups to send reminders. But probably not the exact tool for the job.

For some reason, when I connect Kobo to Power BI, it doesnt generate a table so I cant convert json to a workable format. Is there a minimum number of rows my data must have?

Hi! It will only pull in data that exists in KoBo. So if no data, no table :( This has implications for filling all the questions out when you're creating your power bi visualization. For example, if you skip one question based on skip logic, then that column won't show up in Power BI either.

I will explain my problem in another way, which is as follows: When I import data from the kobo toolbox to Excel or power bi, the data appears in xls codes, for example, the option yes or No, 1 or 2 appears, meaning that it shows the code and not the answer in the label column.
