This makes me sad, because the progress takes way too long. Is this really realistic? Also there is a possibility that humanity may go extinct way earlier caused by world wars. Sad that I will not live long enough to experience all this...
@YoungGandalf232511 ай бұрын
1 million years is a pretty short period of time on an astronomical scale. If we humans advance that much in such a short time, it seems like many other civilizations around the galaxy and universe could as well, and would have already done so by now.
@rickmcneal166011 ай бұрын
That's very true and it could simply be that we are unable to detect such an advanced civilization because their communication and energy use is beyond our comprehension.

EVERYONE trained in school for their future based on what skills they can master and placed in a job they are most suited for. No unemployment. No waste. Constant training. Perhaps everyone has a paid month off for that each year. A reserve of people who are constantly training to fill in for those on that month off.

In the eons yet to unfold, a distant horizon gleams, Humanity's odyssey, a journey through dreams. A million years hence, in the cosmic ballet, An epic narrative, where futures hold sway. Cities of luminescence, on celestial spheres, Architectures of wonder, dispelling ancient fears. Skies painted in hues unknown to the eye, A canvas of evolution, where time slips by. Technology's tendrils, a seamless alloy, Melding with consciousness, a symbiotic joy. Minds interconnected, a neural rhyme, Knowledge echoing through the corridors of time. Through rifts in reality, humanity sails, Exploring frontiers, where the cosmic veil hails. In the scrolls of the ancients, a familiar trace, The story of Homo sapiens, a cosmic embrace. Earth, a cradle revered, nurtured and wise, Nature and science harmonize under infinite skies. Beneath oceans unknown, and skies vast and high, Life's symphony plays, a celestial lullaby. No borders dividing, no nations to sever, A unified consciousness, lasting forever. In the grand mosaic of existence, humankind, Cultures interwoven, diversity refined. Machines and humans in symphonic accord, Enhanced existence, a journey explored. Artificial minds, benevolent guides, As evolution unfurls, side by side. Love, the currency binding souls in its sway, Empathy and compassion, enduring each day. A million years hence, in the cosmic glow, The essence of humanity continues to grow. Imagination unfettered, like comets that stream, In the chronicles of time, where realities teem. A million years hence, in the cosmic ballet, Humanity dances through epochs, finding its way.

Not to be all doom and gloom and such. But the humans we are today have only been around for a short time on Earth. There has only been one population explosion like today. In this population explosion we have become the most technically advanced humans have ever been. This is the main issue of why humans won't be around much longer on an Earth time scale. The mathematical chances of you being in the first population explosion, first major technical advancement of society if humans had many of these events happen is slim to none. Worse then winning the lottery by a long ways. If we had colonized more planets, your most likely outcome would have been to be on a different planet then Earth. Also, you would have been more likely to be born after humans were around for a couple million years or so. The problem is the "you are here to early problem". Which most likely means that humans do not progress much further and populations do not grow much more. It also means the slow or fast die out of humans. The Earth will go on, but we will not. Sorry for the bad news, but none of us or our children will be around to witness it anyhow. Most likely human population slowly declines in a 500 year timescale. Technology stays the same for a long time or very slow progression. Eventually in hundreds of years or so, resources become an issue to sustain our technology. Technological collapse happens. Humans still survive the many collapses and worldwide issues. But since resources have run out humans now live as they once did at the beginning of humanity. Buildings and cities collapse from not being able to be sustained and ultimately abandoned. Humans now surviving in the wild do so, for many more years to come. The human population shrinks to small sizes worldwide. Climate change causes further population loss. Wildlife returning to normal causes humans to shrink more. Humanity changes back to four legged creatures over time and Darwin effect kicks in. Humanity eventually changes back to wild animals or mammals. Or maybe to something new. That is pretty much the outcome of humanity.
