I remember when I watched this movie back in 2014, I knew the moment I saw them they were real veterans because what other reason would they have old men that we've never seen, in this old battleship? It was obvious and I appreciated what they did for them.

A flawed, put very underrated gem. Though, out of Peter Berg’s films, this one does feel the most “Michael Bay.” However, other elements definitely take this film above and beyond Bay’s stuff at the same time.

I love that he calls a missile cruiser a battleship even though battleships are pretty much gone (i meant that they xant be made and yes i do know that there are a good amount that are museum ships) and cant be made no more

@@val_strax_ destroyers use torpedos and they probably don't have that many missiles aboard. Also this narrator needs to learn his ship types. A battleship is huge and would have sized up to the aircraft carrier. Plus the guns would have never rotated that fast on a battleship especially that ol thing.

One theory I’ve heard is that the aliens don’t want to destroy earth. It goes on saying a war on their home planet destroyed it, so when Earth sent the beacon, the aliens sent an advance squadron to relay info on it. They didn’t want to destroy earth, they were just looking for a new home.

But im always going to pick Tobey Maguire as my first favorite because i was a kid when i first saw them and it was sort of magical for me lol plus he sort of paved the way for the Entire Marvel cinamatic Universe and all other Spiderman movies.
