If this were the case it would probably be something like a 1 in 1000 chance of getting the mutation for a strain, the other 999 would be other mutations or even just killing you. So there's a huge risk to go and find one of the trees because you might not get what you want. Also we don't want a whole server of strains, there's only meant to be one at any time. I think this would be a great idea as opposed to having to stay alive for a huge amount of time to become a strain.

If the skull was there at the time the dino had walked and made that footprint, that skull would be shattered. It would not had made a simple hole to the side of the head. Too much weight applied and the weight would have been applied to the whole area of the skull, not just to a spot on the side of it. So it's better to assume the human in question had died AFTER the dino had walked by. Assuming the human was not suicidal and took an axe to his/her own head, the human was most likely killed. If it was eaten, the skull would have more scratches along the skull from teeth and claws, not one simple hole to it's head. If it was a larger dino, you would have no skull to look at. A medium dino? There would punctures in to the skull in a semi-circular or otherwise regulated pattern, like from claws on a raptors hand or foot. Also, judging by the size and shape of the hole, it could possibly be from a hatchet or a type of axe or hammer. Bullets are out of the question. Looking at both sides of the wound, it's nearly a perfect box. As we say in the military: "No such thing as straight lines in nature". The straight edges of the wound, along with the heavy shattering effect originating around the right side of the wound, significantly proves he/she was killed by something that was slammed to the side of his/her head and, puncturing the center of the wound and shattering the whole right side of the area. Bullets make holes, not boxes.. In my theory, the human was murdered by SOMEONE, not something. Most likely by a tribal-like individual using a primitive or otherwise simple weapon or a throwing weapon that utilizes stones. Also, the human was most likely attacked from the front or the rear if it was a melee weapon; you have to swing your arm when you attack with said melee weapon, which leads to more wounds originating from the sides of the body, not much to front of back of it. As to WHY they died is anyone's guess.

Those “placeholder” objects are Volumes in Unreal Engine 4. Essentially you need a certain volume to add effects to your game, so a water volume can add liquid like properties to an area, or you can add post processing effects like chromatic aberration, etc.

Ironic Lizard TL;DR: Yes water is hard to “animate,” and a volume is what changes an area inside it. VVV It depends on what type of water you are going for, but that is different from a Volume. A Volume in UE4 is an area hidden when in-game which adds properties to the area it encases. So what I meant when I was talking about water is that adding a water physics volume will allow the player to act as if they were wading through or swimming in water in the set area. Adding the visuals of water is a whole other story involving the Beaufort Scale and other brain hurting stuff, making realistic water is tough, and VERY GPU intensive if you go for as-realistic-as-can-be. Back to volumes, they add the effects like Bloom to your scene, or Depth of Field, for example if you are looking around underwater then it will be blurry at a distance, to replicate image scattering in real life since water is a liquid, rather than a transparent solid. Hope this helped a bit.

Idk if it was raptors stream or dondis stream but one of them said “how many dinosaurs have we haven’t shown to the public?” Something along those lines but that means there are more dinosaurs we haven’t seen, either normal dinos or hyper dinos or others maybe. Also on the isle discord I was saying on the isle theories that I loved the old dinosaurs skins (like the red Austroraptor) and one of the developers said “who said they were gone?” So yeah I’m excited cause I love the old skins and we might get them back maybe even new ones and we’re gonna have more dinos and it’s so exciting!!!

I care about this game so much and this game introduced me to Anth's channel so it's even more special to me. In the picture of the skull, you can see a small patch of dirt that wasn’t stepped on in the corner, so it’s probably a medium carnivore. If the dinosaur stepped on the skull, it would be obliterated, so the human probably fell in the print before being killed. It’s only his head, so it might have been ripped off and tossed to the side, probably by a Utahraptor, Dilophosaurus, or other small- medium dinosaur. But that’s just my theory.

Omg about the human consciousness theory, I’ve had this theory for about a year. It really came to light when there was a coded message from Apollo and it said “you will die a thousand times for Apollo”. So like different soldiers or subjects can be put into different dinosaurs against their will or with Apollo. Like James Cameron’s avatar, scientist taking subjects and putting their brains into man made dinosaur host bodies for experimentation.

Maybe if you eat parts of the tree, you can see your dino melt, or have parts fall off, but the real thing I think it can do, is change you into a Hypo, but the trees are rare and its rare to become a hypo.

When the recode comes I'll be happy just to have a new environment, maybe one new dino (like a flyer), and a few new animations. I'm not holding my breathe for a bunch of new stuff that's been teased. Just the stuff that has been promised.

the artwork piece is literally dinosaurs stomping out humans, to send the message dinosaurs are the dominant species on the isle and the age of tech for humans is likely gone, theres prolly more to it that will make sense but thata the general gist im getting. While the consciousness thing is very interesting idk if im really following along with it

It does look like a carnivore foot print but its hard to tell because in the isle dino’s don’t look as big when you play them until you go to these human structures then even a Utah is huge!

I think that the idea of human consciousness being transferred into dinosaurs could definitely be an idea. to me it sounds like what is in the movie avatar. For example when they transfer the brain activity of a soldier into an avatar body that they have created and then they go out into the avatar world to see what they are doing without humans getting injured.

Dude I am waiting for The Isle (the movie) it will be crazy putting the game story to life in a movie in fact multiple movies would be epic like a series of movies but I don’t think that would happen for another 30 yrs at most. Pls like if u agree on the idea of them making movies based on the storyline 😀

So, human consciousness in dinos I imagine the hypers' thoughts sound like heavy from TF2 Also, will some of those new trees basically act like the arrows from JoJo? They interact with you, maybe even puncture you, and you get the strain of whatever tree that was

the new plants looks exactly like the ones in Beasts of Bermuda and the giant tree looks like its off of Avatar but it looks really freaking cool. Just one thing though this might take another 4-6 months to be done with everything so other games like Beasts of Bermuda will still have a lot more players because the Isle team is taking a long time to re code and thats not their fault they want to make it look perfect and it doesnt need to look perfect all the time so yeah lol
