We sent in a few scouts. We killed a dozen humans. But now they know how to make laser rifles. We sent in an raiding team. We killed a thousand humans. But now they know how to make phased cannons. We sent in an invasion force. We killed a million humans. But now they know how to make oribtal shields. We sent in our grand armada. We killed a billion humans. But now they know how to make starships. We underestimated a primitive world. In our arrogance, we created a galactic scourge.

We sent an extermination force to their home world. But now they know wrath, and the entire galaxy burns...

The aliens should have checked the humans definition of war before starting one with them. This reminds me of when in Star Trek where Kirk shows two warring planets the real meaning of war. A Taste of Armageddon. TOS, Episode 1x23. First aired: 23 February 1967.

Kirk merely made their War messy.

Was that the one where two planets were fighting each other, but long ago decided war was too ugly and reduced it all to computer sims and their people just marched into disintegration chambers according to the whims of programs? If so, I think it got real for them when they tried to tell Kirk the Enterprise was the latest casualty, and he was like "Oh hell no".

Actually... many human-human wars ended with negotiated treaties.

Yes but i feel like everyone would be mad at the aliens if they did a pearl harbor on humanity to tell them "You are owned by us and not yourselves and we make money off your blue planet which we benefit the most".
@sovietyunyun41212 жыл бұрын
My reasoning for the comment is that think the aliens not only attacked military buildings but also civilian lives. Seeing how the Americans reacted to pearl harbor it isn't that far off for humanity to feel like it's them against the known galaxy. Besides that, humanity just wanted nothing to do with an interstellar counsel only to be told "you must be part of us due to our superiors claiming this system without you knowing." There are lots of factors but it comes down to the aliens telling humans 'that they no longer rule themselves cause we say so' Sorry about my long biased opinion

@@sovietyunyun4121 I agree with your assessment. Humans will demand unconditional surrender, especially if we feel personally insulted.
@Draktand01 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I feel like this one might as well. But to end this war, the aliens would have to offer to surrender first.

Their first mistake: playing games with lives. Humans have been there and done that and, if all goes well up to this point, they will have left those trappings behind.

Alien Admiral: Humans do not fight wars to make a point. They fight to win, to decimate their enemy until their enemy can no longer fight. We have made ourselves their enemy. Alien diplomat: Will they accept a surrender?

And this is why you learn and know the art of war inside and out. Their biggest mistake: lack of proper intel info how enemy thinks, their culture, values and lengths they are willing to go. Even if you are already in war, you can still interrogate POW's and learn these things. Simple private most likely will tell willingly about their culture and values and you could go far as just ask how they think conflict should be ended as they most likely dont want to be fighting ether, unless you fucked up and massacred civilians creating spite.... at that case not even god can protect you.
