Magnificent. I have ordered one in Corvara black leather with advanced arms - 16 week wait!! Anticipation is better than the real thing, they say, however I simply can't wait as my tailbone screams at me each day. This little gem cannot arrive soon enough from America. I'm in Sydney Australia. Covid19 is slowing deliveries I believe.

Also invest in a standing desk if you have tailbone pain. Ikea does some for as cheap as £200 :)

@@NedFlanders39 Haha! Thanks Edd, I've seen the standing desks and I agree, for working during the day and staying on-purpose they would be great. I do work at home and after 5-ish I like to watch movies and stuff so I will need the chair. I make sure I get up every 30-40 mins though, get some fresh water, so that helps. Invested in a nice 'normal' desk a short while ago so can't justify a standing one. Thank you for the thought though :-)

@@MarkR973 Mine arrived 2 weeks ago here in Sydney Australia (no thanks to the Covid idiocy delays) and I've been sitting in it each day for many hours. I'm in it right now. Top quality - has a definite feeling of quality throughout but I am seeing some negatives I didn't think would occur. The arms only 'just' raise high enough for me. I am 5' 7" with short-to-average arm length. I can't fathom why they would restrict the arms from raising any higher - I love to use armrests in chairs it is very important to me. These need another 2-3 cm more height to be perfect but I will live with the way they are OK. I got the 'advanced arms' which also adjust for width so that helps with flexibility of position. The big negative is that it does NOT have the lumbar support which was critical for me. I did sit in one prior to buying but that one seemed to have more than this - hard to fully recall the feeling as was only 5 mins in the chair. The Steelcase LEAP was the only other I considered besides Herman Miller which had ZERO lumbar support. Getting to try one of these in Australia is like hunting unicorns! The Herman Miller was OK to find to try out but the Steelcase staff were recalcitrant and only wanted to deal with large companies. Deplorable situation. I sat in the LEAP and I recall the lumbar support was good but was not adjustable but was a less substantial chair in looks and function than the Freedom Chair. Why is good lumbar support so impossible for the vast amount of manufacturers to engineer into their office chairs. Just boggles my mind. I currently am trialing a strap-on (!) lumbar support foam-ish bar on my Freedom chair and while it certainly helps I don't think it is the most elegant affixation for my new leather $2,700 chair for which I waited 5 months! This Freedom chair was supposed to tick ALL the boxes. Like SO many things until you live with it you never REALLY know all about it. Look, the quality is great, it looks like a billion bucks, the optional expensive Corvara leather is to die for, the body-weight automatic layback/recline on the back is a blessing and SO much better than having to reach for a lever. It stays in the chosen recline position too when you recline so that's good. It seems really well designed in that respect. The seat base is firm but comfy long term. Sadly though with little lumbar support my tailbone starts aching if I don't sit bolt upright in the chair - my accessory foam lumbar support helps here though - shouldn't need one for this chair though! The headrest is wonderful and supports/cradles the neck - best part of the chair actually, along with the recline function! Overall I can say I am satisfied with the chair rather than over the moon. I was expecting to be over the moon though. They say anticipation is often better than the real thing and I think that's what happened here for me. I know it will be great for my posture after so many years of sloppily designed chairs with ZERO lumbar support. Do try to sit in one before you buy or better do a week trial use at home if possible. You know, sitting in the chair quite upright is the most 'efficient' way to sit and it serves you straight up to your desk work space very well. It is when you come out of that upright position the lumbar support goes away and my tailbone starts to act up again. It is a really great chair however I am questioning if it was wise to pay AUD$2,700 for it. I'd consider $1,200 very fair however it is imported AND has the fancy leather. I did see cheaper leather versions for $1,800 (Bizon leather) but the Corvara I got is full grain so the most durable of the lot. I like the idea of the chair lasting a decade+ with durable leather. The other leathers were not full grain, so not as durable at all. Hope this helps, please feel free to ask me more questions if needed.

@@brianhoward9217 thanks for you very detailed comment. I'm surprised about your comment towards the lumbar support, having watched the video by BTOD they seem to rate the lumbar support quite well. Is it truly that bad in anything other than a siting upright position? I can get a used version of this chair with headrest for £400 and so far this chair is on top as I cannot find any other chair with a headrest that's in the same ballpark price. The next step up is the steelcase gesture but that's £850 so a significant increase.

Doesn't have a synchrotilt and not comfortable. Not worth the price.
