I watched every second of this video. I'm an architect. I design custom homes and custom furnishings. I'm blown away by the attention to detail as well as the meticulous execution of this installation. I know the Carey's will love and cherish their new home. You, your staff and all others who helped execute this design should be very proud. Well done!

George, As an aside to your great work at van building itself, I wanted you to know your channel is one of a bare handful where I'll watch longer videos w/o hesitation. I usually balk at anything over 12-15 min., even if I'm interested in the topic. Most videographers on KZbin tend to go on & on about stuff that could be compressed into much less time, to say nothing of including somewhat obvious empty filler. Your productions are not only interesting, but tightly composed and very well thought out. Thumbs up!

Your ingenuity, carefully thought out craftmanship is so admirable. Every build you make, you seem to put a life to it. You speak to it. Your passion and dedication is way above. You give your build a soul. You give it a life. When you say “its gotta breath”. You’re right of all the designs and build I have watched. Your build just by watching it, i felt comfort and relaxed. Your designs and concepts, really makes sense. The inside of the build gotta have some sort of natural flow of ventilation. Not just from the fan or A/C units or window. The idea of accessibility on every technical components is just amazing. I am on an initial stage of my own Van build. I mean, “planning stage”, research, YT, forums, im sort of a meticulous person, not a perfectionist but I want to make it a quality work. Like what you do. I thank you for sharing your videos. I would like to ask permission from you, to use your concepts, ideas. I cannot afford to pay a professional builder like you. Im a hands on person. I love to build, I love the challenges. I love your idea of making prototype from card boards. A very genius, practical. I can’t wait to start one. I would love you to be a mentor, when Im ready in my build.

I really like the way you think about building with access everywhere and planning for future modification or repairs. While watching I remembered something I saw in another KZbin video that I thought was clever and since you seem to like thinking about how things are best used I felt the need to share... it was about mounting reading lights over a bed, the builder made the argument that reading lights should be mounted at the centerline of the beds headboard/overhead cabinet so that when in use they shine away from your partner who likely doesn’t want a light pointed directly at them while trying to sleep.
@HumbleRoad4 жыл бұрын
I COMPLETELY AGREE! Alex and I had that discussion and decided that the lights mounted on the far sides angled in towards the center (A) looked better, (B) illuminated the area more efficiently, if desired. But your suggestion is better for the pure utilitarian use of those lights. Bravo for noticing and sharing.

What began as simple curiosity and inquiry blossomed into aspiration, research, and vision. Deep convicted vision ignited into full-fledged passion. Together these drove the courage and confidence to plan, sacrifice, and fully invest to achieve a product that not only realized this vision, but undoubtedly surpassed it. This product has learned from the mistakes of others. It has benefited from decades of real-use experience by its builder. It has absorbed and built upon the advancements of others in a way no other has in its class. This is pure excellence. All of these were not hindered by a man with a lifetime experience of world-class photography, videography, and unyielding attention to detail and aesthetics. A man who wasn’t afraid to share his secrets and his mistakes. A man who dared to give it his all, his grunt labor, his monetary resources, his humor, his teaching, his humility (Humble Road), his example of absolute dedication and resolve towards his vision. George, you are pure world-class. Thank you for your fine example. You have created a beautiful functioning piece of art that will bring years of worry-free enjoyment and usefulness to its users. You have also created a beautiful library of technical instruction and example (and humor). My wife and I have so enjoyed looking forward to each and every episode. We enjoyed your bringing your son into the mix so that we could see the fruits of your fatherhood and genetics. Talent abounds in your family. Precision craftsmanship at its absolute finest. Thank you for the journey. If there’s more, we will assuredly be in-tune! Nicely done George. Nicely done!

I could not make it half-way through the video without commenting!!! When you watch all the video segments throughout the build process and see everything come together in the final product, one is gobsmacked. George has created the "Forever Van". A van you will never need to trade-in as it is easy to maintain, upgrade, and change over-time. Many people trade-in their RVs over time because repairs are difficult and the behind the walls construction is an abomination. We love you George as you build your vans from an owners perspective. A special shoutout to Alex for his work and attention to detail. The case goods in this van rival anything coming out of the custom furniture makers in the Carolinas. Clearly the apple does not fall far from the tree on the Humble Road Estate. Maximum Claps on this project. 👏👏👏👏👏

OMG.... BRILLIANT JOB Humble Road!! Absolutely brilliant!! This is one of the best van builds I’ve EVER seen! PLUS it’s unique for its framing (what did you call it again?) and the fact that everything is accessible like the removable bed boards or the draw under the fridge etc... SO SENSIBLE AND THOUGHTFUL!! I LOVE THAT FRIDGE!! No teeny tiny, got to pull everything out to find something type of fridge! However, I’ve seen so many builds where the side is bear the bed and ask I can think is... ugh, all that spitting oil and spills will go right on the bed! Why doesn’t anyone think of that and do something to protect the bed from splashes etc from either the stove or the sink??? I have to say that I have NEVER seen the wiring and plumbing of a van look so neat and clean and sexy, lol! I know that space is an issue in a van but... the only thing I’m not sure about is the fact that, other then the front swivel seat there’s nowhere except the bed to sit to eat or work on your laptop etc. Yes, I know, that you would do that outside the van but what do you do when it’s raining all day and night?? I’d love to see you guys do your take on a non fixed bed or a fixed bed plus a couch... utilising a lagoon table.
