Great recipe! It is practically identical to my hair cream recipe I use to style my daughters hair (4a curly). Without the Coco Betaine and with a bit more water (70g) it makes amazing result for styling braids, twists or wash and go. I have tweaked it with a bit of rice protein, vit B5 and citric acid. Thanks for sharing you recipes!

Hi Marie! I made this today and it turned out sooooo well! She thicc! I substituted the butters for butters and oils more indigenous to India (Mango, Sal, Kokum, Hemp seed oil and Bhringraj oil). I've just used it and my thick coarse hair LOVES it. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes with the rest of us, I'm so grateful for you 🙏🏼🌿. I hope you're doing alright and the heat wave in Canada isn't getting you down! Take care! Loads of love ❤️

That sounds absolutely divine! Thank you so much for sharing and DIYing with me ❤️ Thankfully the heatwave broke where I am with a massive thunderstorm on Friday afternoon; it's been cooler (though uncharacteristically humid) since then ❤️

Since there’s a cleansing agent, I would’ve called it a co-wash. But very beautiful
@HumblebeeAndMe
@HumblebeeAndMe 3 жыл бұрын
If one was to sell this product I think the name would be heavily influenced by who your target customer was; for me, this would not wash my hair at all. I HAVE to shampoo it out or my hair is left lank and greasy. But I agree that it could make a lovely co-wash for individuals with drier hair/hair that loves oil ❤️

Hey Marie. I just love all your formulations. Just an observation, you don't seem to check or adjust the pH at the end of it all. Is it because you've already done that backstage. Would love to know because I've been struggling with my ph meter calibration n nothing seems to work on that account, so was just curious to know, what you think about it, whether it's necessary or not. Thanks n regards.

Hi! Slightly off topic question but what do you consider to be the most “conditioning” cationic surfactant ingredient? I’ve heard from various sources it’s cetrimonium chloride because it penetrates, behentrimonium chloride because it’s repairative, and also dicetyldimonium chloride because it makes hair hydrophobic. Was just wondering if you had an opinion or a favourite? Thank you

Hey Marie! How do you avoid getting air bubbles in this emulsion? I've made this a few times already but each time there seems to be a lot of air bubbles that incorporated into the mixture making for a not so smooth batter. I can't figure out where I'm going wrong!

In another video she shares that stick blending for about 40 seconds then hand stirring to reduce the chances of air bubbles
