Mars Square Neptune and the Reality of War

Welcome back. I read recently that Carl Jung predicted the World War because he saw people rejecting and repressing their shadow and he knew that it would come out in a very violent way. Thankfully, Shadow Work has become common knowledge in thr Spiritual Community and that includes accepting and validtaing the purpose of Mars in our lives. Wow, though, I've never rejected Mars. I love Mars. I don't know how I would have survives a Christmas Retail work day without Mars! I've always seen life as a battle and the Spiritual Warrior, in particular, being sacred.

Alex Grey's Sacred Mirrors was instrumental in allowing me to fully accept the beautiful horror of being blown apart by the Divine. When I discovered his work in the 90's, I was fascinated by the images that gave life to images I had experienced in my difficult awakening. I have Mars square Neptune in my natal and never really put the pieces together until this moment....thank you once again for shining a light on what has always been a lesson waiting in the wings.

My biggest challenge in life is having angular mars 2 24” (fall) in my 1st house of of Cancer with moon and ascendant. Although it’s in its fall being angular makes me feel I would fight to the death to defend my home and family. It’s complicated, struggling through that reality for a couple years as I perceive my home underseige by outside influences. I’m ready to fall on my sword to protect my husband. In the past (actually last 20 yr cycles) I embodied Kali as my 1st husband left. I destroyed everything we built as if burnt to the ground til there was nothing left. It’s a powerful energy. The best thing that’s happened is to have you as a teacher, to bring awareness to this part of my innermost soul. Just being aware of it is healing. Thank you for reminding me I can harness this energy for my highest good no matter how challenging it can be.

This talk really resonated with me. I have a lot of Mars/Neptune in my chart/transits/life, and I could relate to pretty much everything you spoke about. They are really difficult energies to reconcile with each other. I think one of the good characteristics it confers is the ability to deeply understand, empathize, and help others. It’s so refreshing to listen to you discuss Mars in this way. I too had the same realisation a few years ago that these Mars qualities are not negative or positive tendencies. They just are what they are; in reality it is the intentionality behind evoking the planets qualities that determines the outcome or rather the frequency of whatever manifests. It’s intention that we must give more conscious thought and energy to as of opposed to the quality itself.

I personally have Mars conjunct Neptune in Capricorn (2nd house). A lot of this resonates. Guilt and sometimes confusion on how to assert myself and when taking action requiring a methodical and patient approach. I have Mars in my 1st house and I find that I HAVE to give attention to the need to exert myself physically and allow myself to have violent dreams; usually ones where i have to protect myself or my home but then I go on the offensive. I also was a competitive swimmer and LOVED swimming and the water, but quit senior year bc I couldn’t stand the pressure of the competition. …I also played basketball previous to that…meh. Yes I am really drawn to it, I have scorpio DC. Within my family there was only ever repressed rage, tension, frustration, covert and passive aggression and I think this is far worse and lingers in an ongoing way which was just so dysfunctional and unhealthy. I have come to be very assertive (although still at times still guilt or bad for doing so). I have been allowing myself to feel the full intensity of rage and anger the past few years to validate it and release it from my body

Today my husband started drawing the last panels of the portion of our graphic novel that includes what we’ve been calling “the blood ogre”. It is a massive red beast, beating a giant war drum nonstop and creates chaos in the world. The female character in the book transforms into a beast herself and pulls out the ogre’s eye and transmutes it into an orb which becomes the demiurge later on. Then she consumes the ogre and transforms into a powerful dark feminine character that creates a destructive deluge. I feel like the Mars Neptune theme is in there!

A question on FB today, "What one song you would want played at your funeral? Without hesitation Sinead O'Connor's version of "Two little boys" I thought to myself, as I had before when I battled with stage 3 breast cancer & it would be my final tribute to my two sons. I went on to KZbin to play it & listening to her beautiful gifted voice I cried as it dawned on me how much pain & loss she is feeling now after the death of her 17 year old son who took his own life yesterday just a couple of miles from where I live 😢 I believe he was battling with his own mental health for a time. May he Rest in Peace

Mars is conjunct my natal moon right now so they are both squaring Neptune. When Mars entered Sagg I started playing Call of Duty with my boyfriend after complaining to him how violent it is for so long. As a kid I used to be good at video games but thought it was a waste of time. I also always had anxiety about playing war shooting games specifically because I was scared of dying in the game. Now I am realizing how fun and cathartic it is. To get that rush of being in war, in a battle, but not having any real life consequences. Even getting to improve reflexes and fine motor skills. I'm overcoming that irrational fear and facing that dark, aggressive part of me that enjoys playing this game. Enjoys using decked out guns and getting different types of kills and using different kinds of strategies to win the game. I'm still figuring out the lesson, whether its something I will continue playing or if its just to teach me something. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSIGHT 💙💙💙💙💙💙 #grabbed

19:05 I've been wrestling with this. I train Muay Thai. I want to get comfortable with sparring people. But I have a hesitancy with bringing out the malicious intent required to assert my will over my opponent. A strike is wasted effort if it isn't directed at the precise place on the body that causes maximum disruption. And so I need to think maliciously... malicious creativity... creative malice. It's a mindset shift that i have been hesitant to make. Trouble is I'm afraid of nurturing my mean spirited side. It's a dark concoction of emotions. I've done a lot of work to manage mean spirited feelings in other parts of my life. I'm also afraid that my shift in attitude will make me unlikeable, and invite malicious intent directed back at me. In the class, regardless of how much students try to control their power they do throw real shots with malicious intent. It's just the nature of the martial arts I suppose. I want to figure out how to become competent and effective at Muay Thai without inviting dark things into my life. I have Mars conjunct Venus in the 5th Virgo. Taurus Rising and Scorpio Sun. It’s interesting that, when trying to concentrate on venerating Mars in my own personality, I couldn’t help but try to recuperate or appreciate Martial tendencies for the Venusian things that can result from them. I exert tremendous effort-to the point of fatigue-in talking to my students about how to improve their work (Mars in 10th ruling my 9th house sun) as a form of care/love and connection, for instance.

Wow...I just commented on another video last night about black magic against me and I found out through tarot...I have Saturn in Sag in the 8th house, as well as Mars in Sag conjunct Uranus in my 8th house. Mars and Uranus in my 8th house are in the third decan and pretty close to the galactic center...so black magic being performed against me is a part of my spiritual path apparently...I guess that's one of the victimized traits of being a Pisces. Jealousy, envy, and maliciousness is something that Pisceans deal with...being taken advantage of, and being a targeted victim for no apparent reason...thank God for spiritual wisdom and discernment because I'm protected 🙏🏾 I'm into white magic and pure intentions, I keep my crystals on me and I take my salt baths to keep my energy protected...

My family were stockbrokers so the Black Thursday crash on 10/24/29 thru 11/13/29 happened with Mars and Sun in Scorpio. On 11/23/29 the Sun enters Sag and Mars squares Neptune at 3 degrees of Sag square Neptune in Virgo. This is the first of 7 squares with last one on 2/14/41 at 27 degrees. Neptune exits Virgo on 10/4/42. The square of the mutable fire/earth signs spelled great period of wealth and life destruction. The dogs of war were let loose by the poverty of expert and aggressive Sag attitudes. Hold overs from the policies of Progressive Era. Pluto into Cap began the next cycle in 2008. Will Jup/Nep conjunction in Pisces help this current Mars square Neptune in mutable signs stop The Flood?
