Dimsum-ing in Hong Kong is a MUST! I made this video fairly short and sweet so if you're interested in a more in-depth guide on how to "survive & navigate" these dimsum dining halls/ teahouse, let me know in the comments! =)

I love old school yum cha. It does not look new same thing but it is a mad house there. In NY usually we wait for the trolly hit each table not like people running to the cart to get the dim sum. Lately I saw many people break the NY rule and go to the cart. Never ever you will see people do that. Most of those people that run to the carts are mainlanders. But after those jerks do that they took all the dim sums so I had to break the rules of waiting for the cart and just freaking do what they do. If I want my food quick and get out that is what I have to do.

The tea is the decider. In these places is all the same. old school, mass productions, quality so so. Unless you go to the high end for the quality, aesthetic and most important is the new creations and a large varieties.

The dishes are washed quite quickly so we do a second rinse at the table - hot water kills everything (they hope)and rinses any dust and debris off!
Lol.... This is such a controversial video... cos you're comparing both of these kind of things... but I think it is a form of segregation.. as in.. "don't be rude to our local customers"... lol... (Rightly so ! ;) ) After the entire big hoo hah.. and the riots... and for us kids to watch people trash our heung ha.. and hometown.... and then it went global... I mean.... I am glad that the elderlies are somewhat protected by global youtubism... somewhat.. To be honest. So..... "Youtubing with ethics, please"...
