Cool. Wish I got more snow here, oh well. Just put 37's on one of my H2's, stock 35's on the other still, waiting for them to wear down some more. I bought 1" spacers for the 37's but I may not put them on. Found out they do not rub at full lock. But both of my H2's had stock tires before and have that same rub mark on them. Maybe off road on uneven terrain? Oh, just saw you put Cooper Discover tires on. Well I just took those off, just A/T but front were completely bald, back were maybe 40 percent but damn they looked shiny like-new.. I have seen that movie. And I have it on Blu ray. Good film. You could tell even then DiCaprio was going to be a good actor. H2/H3, I like H2 better but H3 can probably get around better, not so big.

Hello N3D.studio, That's cool you've watched and own the movie. The Town of Concrete is a pretty cool place to explore and is close to some real good Kokanee fishing holes. Right now this area is getting hammered with rain and some flooding so I'll stay out of that town until the storms subside. My buddy has an H2 Adventure and his truck will eat up the trails real good until we get into the thick forested trails and that's when the H3 reigns supreme. One day I hope to own both and I'd use the H2 for desert driving and the H3 for the tight treed trails. Thanks for commenting and hope to see you on the trails.

Nice H3! I have 295/75/r16 KO2s and they rub a little which I thought was surprising

Thanks Maximo! It’s definitely a mystery on which ones rub and which ones don’t. I got lucky with the Coopers vs. the former tires. Thanks for the sub! 🤙🏽

I HAVE 265 AND AM THINKING 295/75/16 TOO HOW BAD IT WILL BE FOR 2007 LUXURY MODEL
@NorthwestAdventurerNWA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe, I believe the 295’s shouldn’t be too bad as long as you don’t do full lock turns (all the time) but if you do you’ll just slightly rub the finish of the bars.

Hello A.D., for the H3 I have a Curt Hitch Mount for the Winch. It came with the truck so I’m happy to have it and the cool thing is I can remove it and attach it to the rear hitch if need be. I appreciate the Sub!

@@NorthwestAdventurerNWA I'm more than happy to subscribe! H3 content all day! I imagine you have a 2 inch Curt Receiver up on the front bumper/slid plate? I've had the hardest time in the forums finding info on hitch mounted winches up front. I think. It's genius to be able to move front to rear and be able to store it in my house when I'm not on trips. Do you have any idea what model Curt or part number? I've been told by so many people they do not fit properly. Lol. I should only listed to the man that has and uses one! Thanks so much for your help again. Cheers!

@@automotivedistributors9708 All-Right, I was able to look at the H3 and it is a 2 inch receiver front & rear. There is no front skid plate on my 06 but the CURT Inc. Manufacturing Hitch Mount is #S0110. And the Hitch Mount fits fine without any issues I’ve ever experienced. On my next rig I would probably go with a hidden winch setup for but now this model is completely adequate for my needs. Hope this info helps out! 🤙🏽

@@NorthwestAdventurerNWA man that is more than helpful! Thank you so much for getting that part number and actually taking the time to take a look for me. Not everyone in the car community is helpful, but I try to do the best I can to help others too. Knowing I would have to run no front skid is a little bit of a bummer, but maybe I can cut and modify the OEM plate to fit with the receiver hitch. I definitely do like the hidden setup as well tho. It seems like the hitch receiver is easier tho. I have alot to think about now. Thank you so much for your help. If you need me to check anything on a dead stock Adventure Off Road Pack 2006 Hummer H3 let me know! Cheers!

I want to get 315/75/r16s for mine but I think I should raise the front up a little to match the back if I do that. How does your hummer perform with 35s at stock ride height? Would it be a good idea to raise the front a little if you get 35s? If so are there any options apart from raising the torsion bars? I wouldn't want my truck to ride terribly and put excessive wear on them
@NorthwestAdventurerNWA2 жыл бұрын
Hello Brody, My H3 is currently cranked to 23.0, although most folks crank their Torsion Bars to 23.5 max. A couple of years ago, mine was maxed out to 23.5 but I was torturing my front end, destroying parts and the ride was way too bouncy for my liking. There’s many H3 owners who install the 315/75/16’s and never crank the T-Bars and leave the truck at stock ride height without any issues.

I have the same issue, mine looks just like yours. Do you think that can be solved with spacers? 1 or 2"? I don't want to lift my Hummer.
@NorthwestAdventurerNWA3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, not that I’m aware of, as I believe the tires could/would rub elsewhere. Most H3 folks would suggest not to use Spacers on these rigs “if” you’re off-roading. However, other folks would say if you’re going to use spacers - go with the Borla brand. From the H3 forums I’ve read, it appears that with the addition of the spacers some rub and some don’t. If you add the spacers, let me know the results as I am curious to see how they work your H3. Thank you Fabian.
@fabianblast3 жыл бұрын
@@NorthwestAdventurerNWA Same here, I'm not sure if I should use spacers or not, they recommend Borla brand for safety reasons and maybe then not very sure if would work for off-roading. I'll see if I can test any spacers just to check the rubbing thing and I'll let you know (plus the front looks more wide and aggressive 😏)
@freemaysin50883 жыл бұрын
so what brand/make tires are these? Which were the ones that rubbed? have you tried any other 315's since? I'm a huge fan of the BFG T/A K02 both mt/ & a/t
@NorthwestAdventurerNWA3 жыл бұрын
Hello Freemason, To answer your questions, the ones that rubbed were my Toyo Open Country MT 315/75/R15. The tires I’m running now are the Cooper Discoverer MTP 315/75/R15 and these do not rub at full lock. I’ve heard lots of good things about the K02s but not sure if they’ll rub the torsion bars or not.

There’s no more lifts for the HUMMER H3, as the last remaining Ranchos’ sold out a couple of years back. Even if you level the H3, they still may rub depending on which tires you have.
