Nice. Thanks. My battery just died due to negative temperatures. I dont have a garage so ill be out in the cold trying to do this. Also i dont have a trickle charger.

You don't have to get the fancy $50 charger I use, there are plenty of less expensive options. The biggest thing is that you don't want to trigger the immobilizer, that's a major pain. Here's one for just 20 bucks that should work just fine: amzn.to/3p0sQzP

My door locks don't all work when I hit the power door unlock button, So I read that it is safe to touch the cables together in order to make electric door locks work again. Is it safe to do or will it trigger the immobilizer?

I know this is an old video but for those of you watching recently a 9-volt battery plugged in to your cigarette lighter will keep the memory of the vehicle you don't have to go buy a trickle charger so if you're on a budget you can hook a 9-volt battery to a cord with a cigarette lighter plug on the end of it you plug that in then after you hook your battery up then you remove the attachment from your cigarette lighter and you're all set😊😊

You say you have a Hummer H3X.... sorry but that's just a regular hummer H3. An H3X has exclusive extra chrome parts on the exterior, specific interior trim, and a larger wheel size (with chrome rims).

In case of the H3, you need not worry about disabling the vehicle by removing the battery, especially if you do it right! - (negative) lug needs to come off first, then the + (positive). Reverse order when installing the battery = + on first, - on last. Nothing needs resetting UNLESS you do a complete drain / reset by touching the + and - harness cables together with battery removed. That is why SUPPLYING POWER TO THE WIRING OF THE VEHICLE VIA YOUR TRICKLE CHARGER IS A BAD AND DANGEROUS IDEA!

Hmm..just removed my battery lugs on H3.. cleaning..then reconnected..now drivers window and door locks inoperable. .also did the + and - lugs together ..no change..what now??
