Hummer H3 Belt Replacement (fix squeaky belt)

I had a 06 h3. Best vehicle I ever owned. I put 323,000 miles on it. I miss it so much. And crazy thing the only $ I put into it was a water pump. I subscribed. Can't wait to watch your vlogs

Ha! We just put a water pump on a couple Weeks ago. I couldn’t video it unfortunately. 220,000 miles!

Isn't amazing how we always think the worst when something breaks. Not in a million years would I have thought to just install a shorter belt. Funny how someone else thinks of it and then the light pops on in our head. Good job. Take care and best wishes to you and your family. Dean

RidgeLife... Thank You very much - Senior Gentleman - and Young Gent - supporting - Belt-Job.. and Your 'Genious Idea - using - a- shorter measured Belt - under the required circumstandes. Terrible - 'No - room enough in most cars. Under tis new and old problems, I preferred US-Mil.-Vehicles for country life - like Jeep's - M38A1/M170 - and - M37, Decades ago also I bought for my Company a M-5 Half-Track (WW2) w/upraded Diesel-Engine, air-cooled- Deutz, -consumption 80% less - as US-engine- for towing Rail-wagons. US-Mil.-Cars -are very practical for repair + maintained in shortest time - from everybody, with right TM and Spare parts it gave cheapest in ton's - of surplus. As I sold my Company - I gave away to Collector Enthusiasts - with bleeding heard...... Now I'm looking for a HMMWV H-3, 5,3l - engine / a Mil.-Version-M998 or M1151A2-slant-back = are too 'Martialic. However - I learned - looking - as You - worked, Gentlemen, Greetings from Germany for You and All Enthusiast's - wishing ... *Simply the *Best, God Bless America,

Good looking H3 and good job on the belt! this is the type of fix I would do lol... Lose a pulley.... Shorten the belt haha

Great fix, I just bought an H3T for my daughter. Question I have, could the broken pully have been fixed?

It looked to be part of the engine block but if not, yes.

what are those battery terminal clamps?

Those were the premium clamps from AutoZone as the stock ones are junk!

I need a 1/2 inch shorter belt for a customs alternator do you think this on will work

Probably not. We shortened this one considerably with the missing pulley.

Was it a 3/8 or 1/2 breaker bar

It was 3/8 but any will do as not using the socket connection just pushing down on the pulley.
