I really like the way you do these videos. You take your time, you thoroughly explain the settings, and I like when you use a pencil to point things out. So many "how to" videos rush through things, have poor camera angles, and I learn almost nothing from watching them. @stevechiassonfishing58766 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, they are much appreciated. The down imaging beam is narrow making it difficult to see your bait. You will have more success using your 2D sonar which shoots out a cone signal. The cone angle will allow you to see your bait. MegaLive is also another way to see your bait. Ice fishing you can even see your swivel above the drop shoot hook, bait, and weight falling.

It’s always better on the water to match current conditions. I have found sunken boats most often with side imaging but never in depths of 400’ as I don’t fish waters that deep. Mega down imaging isn’t designed for 400’ depths. The clarity on the unit is amazing when you adjust your settings properly for each situation or lake you explore.

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Why not make a video what buttons to push how to turn it on & how to get down imageing get right in front of the unit in the shade with no glare & show what buttons to push & where is the on off button had mind for two years can’t find on / off button
@drjaywhitlock3 жыл бұрын
You have had it for 2 years and you can't find the on/off button????? Really?? If you can't look at the unit and after looking at the buttons not figure out which one is the power button or call Humminbird or even ask the rep you bought the unit from where it is then this technology is wayyyyyyyy over your head. And if you watch the video he does show where the buttons are.
