Hummingbird Hangout! Doctor Bird & Jamaican Mango Up Close 🇯🇲

This is an Incredible experience to get so close to Jamaica's national bird! The Doctor Bird and Jamaican Mango Hummingbird are two species that only exist on this beautiful island. Please turn your sound UP! We watch and feed both male and female Red Billed Streamertails (doctor), Jamaican Mango, as well as see Bananaquit, Orangequit, ground doves and finches. Beautiful vlog..thanks Matthew. I am now watching it again. Love birds,especially the little ones..hummingbirds are one of my favs. You can actually hear the sound of their wings flapping. Amazing. The purple one is Beautiful! If I ever go to JA it will be on my "to do" list. Bless the lady who started the sanctuary. Sadly she passed away but she has a beautiful resting place and she gets to stay where she is from and with what she created. ❤🕊

Love it! We only have Ruby Throats. They are skitish and i didn't know they bathed until i built this badass bath for them. Plus the weather was so cool in spring in Tennessee that there are hardly any bugs around so instead of 18 birds on 8 feeders....i have one juvenile male waiting for a girlfriend. Hopefully they show up for the second brood

One time my parents had me watch their house when they went on vacation, and I put a shot of vodka into the hummingbird feeder when I was filling it up, they clearly liked it, but they got kinda aggressive. Apparently they do in fact drink fermented juice in nature, which can give them a buzz, so they're not new to partying.

Those birds are so awsome 😄, they need to feed every 10-15min to survive and they eat about half their bodyweight every day, in nature they feed from like 1000-2000 flowers every day. Their muscels have to be the hardest and most used ones in nature, those birds are so cool 😄

Hummingbirds are awesome! If you set up a feeder you can set really still under the feeder & they will come up & drink. You can hear them & feel the wind coming from them. It's awesome..
