Well i just found you on youtube but loved this tutorial. I use oils mostly though, but would really love to try this. I've only been painting about a year and not very good at it at all. Thank you for this awesome tutorial. 🙂💞

@charlotteshort have you tried doing an acrylic under-painting, then adding details with oil paints? I’m new to painting but I love using that technique so far! It is nice because the underpainting (acrylic) dries quickly and you use less of your oil paints when painting a larger canvas. I’d like to try that technique with this tutorial. Happy painting!!

you didn't introduce the stencil beforehand, and I suck at freehand drawing. my painting came out like a flying lump instead of a bird.

hummingbird will go to a lot of flower, but they prefer trumpet shaped, or tubular flowers. Your painting is great but for future reference use flowers that hummers love
