Thank you John - I had become a bit lazy, just using a few tools that I was comfortable with. They could pretty much do everything I needed but wanted to look for different effects. I appreciate your time in making this - thank you 👍😊

I have used a Miles Foot as a backgtrounder, keeping it pointed in one direction, and when finished it came out as more of a scaled/snake-skin effect. Great videos. You keep me thinking and exploring!

I have been struggling with backgrounds since I started leather working. I've watched every video I could watch. Your demonstration helped me. I was able to get my background even. I like the different background ideas. Suggestions on some better quality stamps other than Tandy. Thank you so much!

On the design that is already on the piece at the beginning of the video, what was used for the dark, smooth background?
@leatherworker6 жыл бұрын
That was done with Craftool stamps - bevelers - B971, B702 and B701.

My vriend maak vellies en ek gaan vir haar so bietjie tooling doen. Ek het so veel moontlik gereedskap by Tandy gekoop want ek het net drie weke gehad.
@leatherworker7 жыл бұрын
Gary Guitar Ja, daar is 'n Facebook groep vir leerwerkers in Suid-Afrika. Jy behoort hulle te kry by: facebook.com/groups/778994392146731/

But you have the problem when u go more than one time over the leather you DAMAGED & looks real fast bad! I look to use the backgrounder 1 time on one place! I mean this real important!
@leatherworker3 жыл бұрын
Danjo, I have never had damage to the leather with the methods shown. Just be careful, and maybe you could work a bit slower.
