I was married to a Hungarian woman. It will surprise how many defect from Hungary. New York city and Florida Is full of them. The average person there makes 4 to 5 hundred a month. I'm Italian and I totally agree! My wife is formally Romanian but her father was Hungarian who lived in Romania. So my wife is half Hungarian and as a resul our two kids are ¼ Hungarian. A pity that the Hungarian language is so difficult, otherwise we might have considere moving to Hungary... I have lived in Budapest for almost 5 months last year and recently returned from 2 -week stay there. I can not but agree with most of the comments above. The Hungarians are friendly and proud without being arrogant. The city is lovely and there are practically no bums on the street like in other western EU countries...or the US. V. Orban might not be the perfect leader, but his country is like a magnet for foreigners, who are looking for a better safer life, and this speaks for itself.

I just came home to the UAE after spending a few days in Hungary. It was a marvelous experience, totally different feel from Western Europe, the Hungarians struck me as a Christian nation. They were extremely proud of their identity and their past while being welcoming and respectful of others. I saw phenomenal statues of historical Hungarian heroes, beautiful churches, and an incredible architecture all around. They weren’t ashamed of their past “mistakes” like the Americans and the Western Europeans, they seem to accept the reality of good and evil and that nations are always built on such duality. As a hungarian who is intrested in american politcs just like hungarian politics, i have to say that Orban is an excellent liar, he and his cronies robbed us blind. They sold us to western and asian corporations we have 0 economy we live off from EU money.
