UP Manila is the original UP founded in 1908. Thats now exclusive to medical sciences. After WW2, the other units transferred to the now flagship campus UP Diliman in Quezon City. Try to visit that also.

Kare kare according to historian Ambeth Ocampo was a concoction of Indian sepoy who were released after serving thier failed attemp by the British to take down the Spanish since there is no available curry (they missed thier cuisine) they used peanuts instead and in the local dialect if one word is repeated that means it is a fake or “like a” so kare kare literally means like a curry or not the real curry
