To be honest, England were pretty poor in that tournament, the draw with Ireland and the win against Egypt were as dull as you can get, though they played well and were unlucky only to draw v Holland. The Platt goal v Belgium disguised another poor performance with Belgium being the better side on the night. Cameroon played England off the park and it took two dives from Lineker to get us through.
