Hayley Santos really the only people who were “just kids” were Rue. The Careers has trained their whole life, Katniss was a kid, but she’s more like an adult because she’s been the one to provide for her family, lots of the other tributes were either pretty old or didn’t have much screen time.

Also, think about this. Final two are willow and Tristan. Willow could die any second from a wound. However, if Tristan really wanted to get willow home, he could have just slit his own throat or something. They have to have a victor. Say Tristan does commit suicide right before willow dies. Willow is the victor, though she is dying. And chances are, there are good doctors in the capitol to save her. Therefore, willow could’ve been the victor if not for Tristan. Edit: A lot of you are saying that she'd die before she gets to the doctors. I personally think the Capitol would do everything they can so they'll have a victor. And if she does die, then that would be interesting. No victor, no interview. It's evident that neither Tristan nor Willow liked the games, and didn't want to be reaped. So Willow probably wouldn't have wanted to win, anyway, not to mention that its a huge possibility that she becomes suicidal after going through all that.

The saddest thing is, I know Tristan’s plan was to keep him and Willow alive, and then kill himself. And he actually got so close to letting his sister win. Even though I knew she was going to die, the way it happened shocked and scared me. It was so heartbreaking. She got second place. The highest a twelve-year-old has ever gotten, I presume. She was so close to getting home. Her brother, had done such a good job protecting her. And that just makes it so much more sad than if she died in the bloodbath or in the first few days. She _almost_ got home. She _almost_ was the victor. And I’m crying.

The even sadder part is that even if she did win, she would've become a slave for Snow and the Capitol. It's possible that she would've been sold for her body to people in the capitol once she got a little older. The victor may survive the hunger games but they forever become a slave of the Capitol. It is also possible that she and her loved ones would've been tortured or killed because if Tristan had killed himself to let his sister live then it meant she didn't truly win.

Tristan wanted to maximise his chances of saving Willow, even if it meant not killing Ares at that point. After all, Tristan had no idea at the time what the exact scenario would be concerning his sister's safety, and he wouldn't have forgiven himself if he had killed Ares, then was a second too late to save Willow. (Which could be one of the reasons why Tristan looks *SO* destroyed when her cannon sounds: on top of all the other reasons, it occurred to him that if he had stopped to kill Ares earlier when he had the chance, Willow might have made it - but in minimising the time that he wasn't there to protect her beforehand, Tristan realised that it had set up the circumstances in which Willow ultimately died.)

In multiple Hunger Games the careers would physically, mentally, and sexually harass their opponents before killing them off, especially if they were young and some of the only people left. The main thing would be pull a Katniss aka kill someone or wait for someone to die then take their weapons.

If he killed himself after willow was stabbed then the Career would have just offer her and he would have won. If Tristan killed himself after killing the tribute then there wouldn’t have even been a victor because Willow died like a minute later...

I honestly wanted to cry. That movie was so sad. The sounds and effects were great, along with the cast. It felt like I was watching a real Hunger Games movie. You are all so kind to make this. It must've been expensive to get costumes for everyone, and the supplies in the Cornucopia. If you made an extended version of this and released it into theaters, it would be sure to be #1 in the box office. This was just as good as the real Hunger Games, if not, better.

This Fan Film is the best one I've ever seen! The cornucopia and the weapons look so real and the clothes of the tributes are much better than in other Fan Films, where the caracters wear jeans and tshirts. Also the kids act so good!
