Matt is actually the real mvp. Throughout the whole show he's always been laid back and for the most part just sat back and observed, like a true wise man does unless he feels he is needed to prevent the group from falling apart. At first he tried to individually go around counselling the weak members. But at the end, it was his genius plan to elect a leader that saved this group.

@@arbo3495 you missed the parts where he hunted the cayman with Rupert? he still have proven per episode that hunting isn't the only way for survival. hunting cayman isn't exaclty an ideal target for hunting either. specially at night. it requires experience, which they don't have. they were lucky to find one. but that's it. either it was intentional by the producers or just pure luck. so it's beyond me why you can say that despite of his contributions to the group.
@lonewolf3332 жыл бұрын
@@42ouncesofPAIN You don't know what you're talking about, and it especially shows when you talk about what you think Rupert should've done. Being a leader isn't about showing how big your dick is, and that's all Rupert was basically doing. He was fracturing the group and was too thick-headed. There is no room for individuals in a survival situation, and Sacki really shined as the guy who kept group cohesion and morale strong. Having been a sergeant in the military and currently a team lead, I think I know what I'm talking about. You sound like you don't have much life experience. If Rupert went on his own he would've failed miserably because in a situation like that it is supremely difficult to do all the things you would need to do to survive on your own.

Lol, I laughed so hard when he got the enema, because I've been in that same boat. I knew EXACTLY the feeling he was experiencing, and while it's not funny at the time, it's fucking hilarious looking back. Basically, you pump a bunch of saltwater into your butt, hold it there for a while, and then grunt one out.

I know Ryan's love for animals, but he would rather argue with the group than let them kill the animal in their way.

Plus no one asked him to watch while they killed it
@johnP09082 жыл бұрын
to be fair, he never had experience butchering those animals why he acted like that. but at a survival scenario, it should be frowned upon.

I find it fascinating that when it comes to survival we are identical to animals behavior in a pack

Great series. Sucky Sucky was the right choice for project manager for sure. He was my favorite of the series.

Rupert be like no dont go look for the honey because its a waste of energy. While he was so content on going to look for the croc type of animal cant remember the name. He was doing this while majority of the group said not to
@johnP09082 жыл бұрын
the irony. don't go look for honey unless it's him hunting for it. lmfao

The men came together as a collective unit. They taped into each and every man's strength and they conquered.

Fascinating series; deeply introspective and illuminating to who we are as humans. Thank you. In some ways I feel it was just starting as it ended - with government forming and the raft being made. I would love to see how those elements progressed in an expansion of The Island with a significantly longer time window.

That's it. They did it, and nobody left even though there had been some arguments among them. The journey was an incredible experience for all of them. I suppose it has changed all of them and made them appreciative of everything they have in their lives. I am truly delighted that they united at the end of the mission. It was obvious in their eyes that their hearts were aching to realize they were leaving the place and might not see each other again. The longing in their eyes revealed the bittersweet realization of leaving the place behind, uncertain if they would ever cross paths again. Nevertheless, the journey forged an unbreakable bond among them, transcending the disagreements they encountered. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional show. Inspired by their exploits, I yearn to embark on a personal odyssey to test my resilience in surviving without food and water. On a remote isle, they took a stand, Surviving without food or water at hand. A month they endured, their spirits ablaze, Proving their strength in incredible ways. United, they faced each trial and test, Resilient souls, surpassing the rest. Their triumph echoes, inspiring us all, In their journey, resilience stood tall. In awe, we gather, their story we share, Survivors who've shown us what we can bear. On this island, they proved their might, A beacon of hope, shining so bright.
