Hungry Robot Stargazer V2 Demo

I got mine a week ago, I love it!! I am an ambient/soundscape player (sorry Joe), this pedal rounds out my reverb section perfectly, I use the Alexander Spcacexpander for the plate, and when I want to go into outer space I use my z-cat Big Reverb. this pedal does not go completely wet, but the tone and texture are amazing. I had the Caroline meteore for 2 years it is a great pedal however the always on Pre-delay, bugs after a while, this pedal is what I thought the meteore was going to be, I love it, such a rich and unique tone. I adjusted the trim pots on the inside so that decay dimed does not go into oscillation, but as soon as i turn on the hall side it pushes the sparkle side to oscillate. I will say it's not a spring, but does belong in the family, like its great grandpa was a full huge spring, so you can hear that nice organic spring sound in there I switch back and forth between the Spacexpander and this as my main reverb. Inside look so nice, its quiet, and so fun. If your looking for a Big Sky this is not for you, or if you are use to spending only $80.00 don't look here, but it is worth it, great pedal such character and personality (Johnny Marr would love this reverb, lol yes i have dated myself) cant say enough, on my board indefinitely!!

Excellent analysis and glad you are enjoying the pedal! I agree that this reverb has it's own unique character/personality. Have you tried any of the other Hungry Robot pedals by any chance?

No I have not, I think his delay looks nice but I opted to get the Pladask Elektrisk Taken, it's amazing, sold my Skreddy Echo to get it I love the PT2399 chip and although skreddo has it, the Taken has two of them with more control options. Lol I digress, love nerding out, have not tried his others but with how nice this one is I bet his line of pedals sound great. Thanks for the like. :)

I have V1 and hate how I can’t use both channels like on v2. Will sell eventually for a V2. Love the sounds regardless of this function. Maintains tone while adding verb and other effects. Perf.

Sounds very nice. I like that it is simple but flexible at the same time. I'm after something to partner a recovery effects endless summer (hint for a review Nathan) and this could be it! Well done Hungry Robot😀!!!

how are you getting that reverse-y sorta sound? Is that just from manipulating the volume knob while you play?

I was using my looper pedal and hit the reverse function. Its one of my favorite effects.

@@hungryrobotpedals edgy is the new dickhead. I think this sounds better than my Blood Moon. To each his/her own ears though.
