He can brag about however much input delay all he wants, but bro plays Sonic so that's a given.

Why not just have it? I think it’s fine to have some stages favor certain characters a disproportionate amount. Do we really need ps2 every game? Games like tekken have way more variation in their stages that absolutely favor certain characters over others and its competitive scene is very healthy.

That running away or defensive play is part of the game. If I’m winning why would I approach? If I wanna win I should take any means necessary to do so. Is it lame? Yes. Do I wanna play against it? No. But as the great alpharad once said “play lame and win games”. No matter what we do there will always be lame strategies that we have to deal with. not ban them. There’s obvious counter play and we just need to get better at executing it

@ I’m talking about only if they do all maps. Let me explain the only fighter that can truly run out the clock on legal stages are Sonic Steve and characters with multiple jumps. Most often if you have let’s say a Wii fit camping ledge running away they will most likely take at least 40 damage per match. Fighters like Sonic can truly get away with a 0 damage done on him. If we were to make it all stage a run away rule would have to be in play because you can literally just run away as long as your fighter is faster then the opponent. Inkling for example would be top tear not because of its damage combs or moves but because it has one of the best dashes in the game aka run away

@ it would be like ledge edge gaurding. I would say any movement of running away would be the act of 1 player moving foward while the other player is move away form there open in the opposite direction. You just count seconds by looking at the time in the up right corner and adding them up. You can even do this if it’s it’s jumping for example you jump up by your opponent jumps higher. 1 second added. I can see the problem becomes what about half seconds well then you add them up. It basically to call out people who are clearly head and just running away like ledge grabbing everyone is going to ledge grab but the second/ ledge grabs per game will only get called when some one is clearly running away. That way you need a 3 minute timer basically a high enough time to where you really have to be stalling to get called out on. You could also do a think where you can only call it out if game goes to time.
