I know Skyward Sword isn't everyone's favorite, but I personally believe that it is top five Zelda games. Statements like "I block every conversation about Skyward Sword from my memory," and "I wouldn't blame you if you never watched any Skyward Sword playthroughs." are really painful for me. second half of the game is the best zelda there is out there. ancient basin sanship and fire sanctuary are on my top zelda dungeons and the final combo of horde girahim's final form and demise is an amazing way to end the game. Also Groose is the best character in zelda history

SS was rhe first one I got to play all the way through instead of snippets and I'm gonna be honest remains in my top 3 to this day. Admittedly part of thay IS me breaking my brother's friend who was staying with us and whose game it was. I was having a HORRID time with Caldera(? The bomb boss).for context I was the Sweet, Older sister. The Quiet One. The Shy and Polite one. Kid walks into our living room door as I'm cussing up a storm at this stupid pos rolly boss that I just can not fing get past and his eyes go wide and he all but yells "YOU CAN CUSS?!?!?" Bro heard him. Mom heard him. Whole house. Kid's first experience of "People can be more than they appear" was his bff's quiet older sister he also kind of saw as a sister cussing. Hilarious. Ended up giving me the lift and clarity(and break) I needed to finally beat that stupid golem too! Still hate that boss but still smile whenever I get there.

45:07 Fun little trivia bit actually for anyone who didn't know! Both star bits in Galaxy and gratitude crystals in Skyward Sword are based on a Japanese candy called "konpeitō", hence why they look basically exactly the same. Funny the two games were released somewhat near to each other on the same console and to have that coincidental design inspiration (despite being developed by different teams I think), but unless those couple of years were supposed to have a special correlation with konpeitō (I'm not *that* big of a nerd unfortunately so I'd have no clue), it was basically most likely just accidentally lined up.

The motion controls have always been fine. If people complained about them, then it’s honestly a skill issue. They’re not jank. If you actually try to do what you’re supposed to do, then they are consistent. Some people, like Linkus, barely move their arms or don’t know how to swing and blame the game for their own lack of mechanical control.

The only thing they did not do right is fi interrupting while yes it could be annoying to have her constantly stopping you i feel like it was CRUCIAL for her storyline and her farewell which doesn’t hit nearly as hard in the hd so just for that this game is just a side grade to the original and doesn’t surpass it

The controls on wii arent for everyone, personally I love the wii mote, motion works well enough if you dont shake it like crazy and its really comfortable being able to keep your hands apart. But I get its not for everyone's liking. As for the game itself, its underated I would say. Has a fantastic start and great zones and cool mechanics, also the story is great and has the best zelda! (didnt play the 3DS ones nor the witch ones yet though). But also has a lot of flaws. Personally I would punch the idiot who decided to every time you reload the game and get a item you see link put it in the bag even if you already have 99 of it, but if you play for long at a time its not so bad.
