It makes a lot of sense actually, Shadow was best friends with Maria, someone young and vibrant, and she likely had a lot to offer the world but that potential was prevented, sought out and destroyed when gun raided and killed her, so when he sees someone with potential, someone with a future in danger he doesn’t hesitate to protect them the best he possibly can.

this was very good! up until the ending (it's still good!! I just have some personal gripes). most about it just... confused me. why didn't Shad make sure Tails would be okay? he made a promise to protect him. why wouldn't he still end Sonic? he may have broken his promise to protect Tails but he still has a promise to protect the rest of the world. idk, it just... didn't feel right for his character? all in all, I *did* enjoy this and can't wait to see how it continues!

I’m sorry, but it kinda feels like some of the Sonic dialogue is a bit fast. I also thought you would have done his creepy thoughts like in the other version of vid you were involved from the Sonicdubsva channel because in that vid those thoughts made him sound like a villain and I find that fun.
