I remember my Dad , a MAD barbecue fiend, going out in the midst of a blizzard, to barbecue. Because THAT is what you do with steak, sausages, chicken pieces, pork chops, hamburgers, hotdogs. And pull out the cedar plank, there's salmon to barbecue! He would be out there in his big parka and snow boots, big steel sawtooth sided flipper in one hand and a big glass of rye and ginger ale in the other. He's too old to do that now. But my brother and sis in law have taken up the challenge; they own two barbecues and often have both going at once. I live in an apartment, and have learned to do steak and pork chops nicely on a George Foreman grill. I am a terrible disappointment to the family. Hope everyone had a grand Christmas, an a successful invasion!
