I see several comments about the 1st shot. Would I of shot him twice if I could have? Uh 3 times...but he was a dead buck on the 1st one. Maybe be 2 inches farther back than I would of wanted. That deer was gonna go lay down inside of 75 yards and be dead in less than 5 min. He was just the bull of the woods but you could already see his breathing laboring. Great job great buck. His brows are amazing!
@calvinh.88826 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I shot a buck basically the same exact way, and he went out about 40 yards acting like nothing ever happened, and he started grunting like he was just on his regular walk through the woods, And I was thinking damn, I saw the shot was a great shot, but he's not hurt at all. And about that time he just laid down and it wasn't 10 seconds later and he was done! Some of them just have to play the macho part through to the very end. lol.

That's awesome dude! My first buck back in 2016 was a 168 point buck. His nose had a big split up the one side from fighting and his brow tines were built like trowel blades. They're like, 3 inches wide and flat with 2 prongs at the end of each one! Neither I nor anyone in my whole hunting family had ever seen a buck like him EVER! I had 3 seconds to line up my shot with my Dad's .308 because he was chasing a yearling doe and was not in the mood for a snack. He went 40yrds and there was nothing left of his liver. :O I wish I could share a picture. Many happy hunts from Sturgis Saskatchewan, Canada! Too bad I'll never shoot a buck like that again... :) Awesome video all the same!

20 maybe 21 points is what I counted big enough To hang a ring on. Awesome 👏 Buck!!! The best days to hunt is when the moon is overhead or under foot. 🌙 It looked like you had the moon conditions under foot that evening 🌙. My biggest Bucks that I’ve harvested I done it During A New Moon. And Yes that Moon Guide really works! I was using the Moon Guide many years ago when the creator Jeff Murray came out with the first ones before he passed away of a rare disease. Jeff Had the Moon Guide down to a science all based on the effects that the moon had on deer 🦌. Every big buck I harvested was down to within 5 minutes on either side of what that dial said. Yes Sir you could bank on what that Moon Guide said. Probably at least 9 years back I called Minnesota to Jeff’s House to order my Moon Guide like I always done before and paid for it over the phone and they would ship it to me. But this time was different, I spoke with his wife Corey on the phone & we had a lengthy conversation and she told Jeff passed away with a rare blood disease. I said what are U going to do about the Moon Guide? What are hunters like myself gonna do without him to make this Moon Guide for us ? Because take in mind I was ordering the last one of the Moon Guide Formulas that Jeff Murray had figured up. So I knew in my mind that once this Guide ran out what are we gonna do? Because the researcher the original pioneer the original creator of the first and all of the Moon Guides that Hunters relied on had just died at 59 unexpectedly. So I said to his wife Corey what do you plan to do about Jeff’s Moon Guide, is it gone forever without him to figure it out? The happiest news to my ears was She said Jeff left a formula for creating it. Which was also good news to my ears but I’m thinking 🤔 does anyone really know how to work this formula and get it to the precise minutes he had it figured ? In her long conversation with me it’s been 9 years ago so I can’t remember exactly who she said. But it seems to me Corey said a member of Her and Jeff’s family, I think she said their daughters husband or someone in the immediate family. But She said Jeff had taught them his formula & they was going to keep the Moon Guide going for her So us eager hunters could still get it. It was music to my ears Because I’ve seen these other Deer guides people have came up with & they’re not as accurate and precise and sometimes just pure wrong. Which is a waste of money and valuable Deer stand time. I have tried those others & nothing compares to and is as reliable and precise as the Moon Guide itself that The Inventor Jeff Murray blessed us Deer Hunters with! If Jeff Murray could hear me from Heaven I’d like to tell him personally.... Thank You Jeff for all the years & countless hours of research you done ✅. Thank you for Blessing us Deer Hunters with the time saving Guide to be in that tree stand to make our dreams a reality!!! But there’s a sad 😔 side to this story seems that I’m hearing that Jeff’s Wife Corey Murray has sold the Moon Guide business 😢! I’m also hearing that the New Owner(s) has jacked the prices way up on loyal customers from the beginning like myself. So anyone who knows for sure the details on this please comment below. I’ve had to take off 8 years from hunting to get some major health issues I’ve had under control. So now that I’m healthy enough now to go back I’m going back full force after the Really Big Bucks again this year. Which means I’m going to need a Moon Guide, if it’s even worth a crap 💩 or the same Jeff Murray formula since it’s not in the Murray family now ?????? Does Anyone know who I need to call now to inquire about it & purchase it ?? I’d also like to know who the owners are and if they are even giving Jeff Murray the Troubadour any Credit and Credit where credit is due for years of busting his A#% to come up with The Formula for hunting by the Moon Phases ??!! Does anyone have me any answers?
