agree. it seems like they are looking at us when they are facing us straight on, but he may very well have been looking anywhere. often, when it appears a deer is looking away, because his head is turned, he's actually looking at you.

I acted the same way when I tagged my first black bear, yet to get a whitetail of that size, but I been chasing one on my family's 35 acres for 3 years now. Amazing, good for you, I appreciate and respect that you did it all yourself. Where I live in Maine rack matters but first thing most people ask, "what did it weigh?"
