Necromancer is definitely a must have meta trait. I always dump my starting traits now and pick up necromancer and resilience in case of traps. I'd even put resilience from B to A, possibly S, especially as a solo bc without it your self necro means nothing if they trap you up.

I don't think there was a single trait here that I would've changed here on ranking (Necro-D)... Even on the few where I thought it could be one or the other, you explained your reasoning well enough that I didn't see any other place it could go. I remember watching a popular streamer around when solo necro was added to the game. People were complaining about it and such per the usual. I chimed in to mention how I can't believe necro is still a 4 point trait considering Crytek balances traits based on utility and pick rates. At the time, it was a top pick for teams, but then it became a top pick for everyone because of the solo aspect of it (also, this was well before people abused it to derank). I mentioned it should be at least 7-8 points since it offers so much utility. The streamer started an argument with me suggesting that necro itself isn't as useful as other traits around the 7-8 point range and got pretty upset with what I was suggesting to the point they timed me out and proceeded to have chat harass me about it. Mind you, this is/was probably the biggest Hunt streamer at the time (or close to it), so I'm sure you can figure it out. I haven't watched them since because of their shitty attitude, but I would like to know if their opinion changed over time to realize how necro is insane, and especially for only 4 points.

You got a point but let me remind you guys something as a %80 solo 2000 hrs player. Meta or not you cannot solo without necro, there are so many occasions, unlucky headshots from dualies or a fanning from a far away chain pistol. Regardless you should have a chance revive and try to make it if they let you. Another point is necro is almost useless without resilience especially solo, you should at least be able to tank 1 compact shot or some barbed wire when you try to escape with your life and skip the loading screen. So basically you got necro for 4 points, resilience for 3 points and probably magpie for 1 point, which is something like 75% of my starting hunter setup as solo for 8 trait points. If you increase necro to 8 points, resilience to what maybe 4 points which sums up to 12, I cannot even have my basic traits as a lvl 1 hunter as a solo, this is why necro should stay 4 trait points. If they increase the Average starting trait poitns of legendary or tier 3 hunters to something like 12, I would say necro should be 8 points (at least 6) and resilience should be 4. Well thats at least my 2 cents on the topic 😊

@@ilosuner I think you ironically explained why it needs to be more points because of how useful it is. With the way the hunter's trait economy works now, you can always get necro at 8 points from level 1. I don't think anyone should be able to get so many traits at level 1 that gives them a significant advantage - which is what solo players already have with what you listed. Again, this is for a brand-new hunter. There has to be some risk and reward with new hunters compared to everyone acting like they are level 50 right from the start.

@@NoobSaibotVII Yes I understand the point you are making and surely necro worth more than 4 trait points (Especially in a world where nerfed conduit is 5). Still, my point is its almost worthless to get necro without resilience for solos, you have no idea if someone is camping your body or set a trap to your corpse etc. I agree with lvl1 hunters not having much to deal with others but bare minimum should be necro + resilience and total trait points required for those should not exceed 8 pts something so I dont need to reroll 10 times to get them with a lvl1 legendary hunter. Solo necro changed the ratio I play this game on solo drastically so hopefully crytek considers all nuances before making the changes thats all.

this rings true hunt has a lot of playstyles, and most of these traits are tailored for different people and that is fantastic from the solo bow reptilian to 3 sparks pistol avtomats, there's something for everyone

In 600 hours, Hornskin has saved me once against a baseball bat and it took me a minute to figure out why I didn't die to it.

My only disagreement is that Conduit is overvalued. It stops being useful once the boss lairs are all discovered, and the buffs often won't last long enough to help you during the compound fight at the boss lair. It definitely helps you get from clue to clue quicker, but I don't think it's worth it for the trait slot when it stops doing anything in the second half of the match. Also Vulture is pretty great when you pledge to the Death pact and get Witness, finding bodies becomes a breeze. I have made so much money going to boss compounds and taking everybody's wallets once the fighting cools down and the bounty carriers are on their way to the exit. With that particular combo, I'd make Vulture B or even A tier. It also has a fair amount of synergy with Peacekeeper and recovering bars, especially for solo players who manage to successfully self-revive and now have to recover some bars via looting. Like you mentioned, you need to get lucky finding the bodies and hope they aren't burned out.

Agree with you entirely regarding vulture. Only reason I didn't mention that is because it's specific to an event that will vanish in a few weeks and this video will still exist and thus it won't make sense. Totally concur though.

oh ya. the conduit "adjustment" last patch def helped and hurt conduit at the same time. when it gave 5mins it was great, insane even. but you had to be sure YOU picked it up. but now ANYONE on your team getting it gives it to you....but you only get 2.5 mins? but overall,I think it droped a few points on the tier list imo.

At this point, I wish they'd just combine greyhound and determination into one trait. Ever since the conduit change there's no reason to get greyhound or determination especially because greyhound and determination pair well wiith each other and at that point for the point cost you might as well just bring conduit or a stamina shot. I'd love for the traits to get combined or at least get their point cost lowered

Adrenaline is pretty good as a solo coming from a necro revive. It instantly gives you heavy melee as an option if you manage to get up. Boltthrower could work on the Lance, but perhaps less than the crossbows. I do wish Bulletgrubber worked w/ dualies, even if it required Ambidextrous. Bulwark is something I swear by that my friends just don’t understand. Dauntless is in the same camp, it can save you from airburst nades when you have nowhere to run to. Decoy supply is great for blankfire and fuse. B tier is a great spot. Don’t always take it to save trait slots though. Fanning is 8 atm. Ridiculously strong and with the new hunter system way too common.

I really dont think lightfoot was nerfed that hard. The biggest things for me are silent ladder climbing and vaulting. Being able to access the map vertically without the enemy knowing is a huge advantage

ya. I think its because alot of the super higher tier abused the heck out of jump croutch walking. so you could move around the map quit but still fairly quick. giving it the ability to quit walk on glass I dont think made up for it,but it was def a warented thing to nerf.

Hornskin was SO nice when baseball bat came out so everyone and there granmother had one,lol also,I know people def wanted something to make blade seer worth it and I realized...why not just shove that thing into vigilant >.< also I really hope vulture gets the current lawless (thats on packmule) into it. having vulture also give you ammo back would def make the idea of "picking a body for scraps" a bit better and give it more use outside of just trios. I know you have nothing to do with things like this, just speaking my mind outloud on ideas I'd love to see to bump a few of these into the Btier with the rest of the 'acceptable' traits XP

Am I tripping or does bloodless only prevent the bleeding from ESCALATING, not blocking medium/heavy bleeding alltogether? Or at least that's how I always understood it, can someone clear it up for me please?

Conduit is still the only thing outside of Restoration that can heal you while poisoned.

I don’t think you should be considering perks in terms of if you are using the weapon they are meant for. Like of course you should bring martialist with the katana but does that make it as good as death cheat?

Doctor is overrated and B tier if you're always running 2 regen shots (which you should be ). A medkit without doctor heals 2 extra bars and the regen tops off the rest. Magpie is S tier as a solo as it gives you 10 seconds of dark sight, greyhound is A tier as it gives you much more stamina on a fresh hunter without having to bring 2 stam shots, resilience is S tier (especially as a solo) as it allows you to be revived to full health. Arguably resilience is the most useful trait in the game after necromancer. Conduit is C tier as of the latest patch (only gives you around 9 minutes of stamina at the most, which is extremely overrated), Serpent is A tier as a solo as it allows you to pick up the bounty from a very long distance. This is extremely useful after an enemy carrying the bounty gets downed in the boss lair. Dauntless is C tier imo. Not many players use throwables and most of the time they can be avoided by simply running away. And if you want protection from throwables you're almost always better off running bulwark as it protects against cooked throwables. CanIt could be more useful in higher MMR lobbies where frag grenades are more commonly used but its generally overrated and I very rarely actually get the opportunity to use it. Vigor is S tier as it allows you to bring an extra tool instead of medkits.

Goddam are people opinionated about there hunt traits. I personally don't really have the same experience with these traits as you do but when i play with my duo and one of us goes down i make my priority bringing them back. Which is why i feel like nerco and resilience should both be in a tier by themselves as a necessity.

Like I said mate, it's all subjective and personal preference. HIGH B, but for me personally? Not something I'm always getting because I'm not dying a lot - and if I am? I'm not getting revived a tonne because of how my partner plays.

​​@@GeefYTHunt is one of the best-designed games I know, and indeed, the traits are already extremely well-organized consistently by the developers, from the most expensive to the least powerful. I've achieved over a 5 KDA on my secondary account, and I've been playing for several years, yet there are still things that surprise me in your tier list. For instance, Lightfoot being ranked in B, it should be in S, it's one of the best traits! Kiteskin can save a lot of lives and should be S too, Physician too, Pitcher too! Silent Killer if you go melee, Levering and Fanning should definitely be at the top as well

​@@alexhakkah Tier lists are subjective! Who knew? Different players are going to have different tier lists. You're acting like you should be the authority on tier lists because you got a 5kd on a second account. Any random 5 star can start a new account and get a 5+kd in those beginner lobbies. Hell, I've got a 25kd on a new account before but I don't think that makes me the next RachtaZ/FailSpawner/Hornet/etc. Speaking of which, even RachtaZ puts pre-nerf lightfoot A tier and fanning at bottom C tier. If you're saying you're better and more experienced than RachtaZ, you should definitely start posting some clips on your channel so we can watch!
