Thanks for the video Fred. Watching these recordings from the 80s and 90s, it just seems like a foreign world where you could just get on with what needed to be done. Unlike all the PC bollocks of today... Looking forward to some new videos from you soon. I'm sure that strapping lad of yours can carry a heavy pack to help you out with a hunt! 😊

God when one thinks back to the 70's/80's this movie makes me wonder the number of people that went through the Otawa hunting or just on walk abouts ah. I enjoyed this though it took me some time to work out where you were and I'm guessing here were you over in the Tokanui? It wasn't until you were at Big Munganuku roadend that I was certain. How that place has changed since the 20 odd track cutters had their tent camp up behind where you landed your deer. Cheers mate thank you for memories long before your time there.

Gday from oz , had to laugh when you dropped the deer on the picnic table . I’ve cut deer up on them and always thought if only the picnickers knew 😂. What a good life we live .

Seen the thumbnail and thought you were mobile again. Animals have slowed down a bit here on the 35 @ houpoto but the freezers full anyway. Heal up chief, you'll be back at it in no time. Cheers

Agreed ive long said we should double track and electrify the main trunk line. The bit thru thhe rumataka spiral is problematic but sovable. We should also invest in cosstal shiping as insurance against the inevitable earthquake

Yea lifting moss, but it was near lake Mahinapua south of Hokitika

I had another look at it, and it could be up near Hochstetter,? , im not sure mate, we did do the odd bit up there, as well as hoki, we were all over the coast ,doing moss, deer and ag work at the time.
