I debated a couple opponents of Reparations. I told them Reparations would've been an inheritance that was passed down from generations to generations & they still said we don't deserve Reparations. So my reply to them was "If we can't get the inheritance that's owed to us then nobody should be allowed receive any inheritance" "Every generation should start from zero like ADOS has to." Then i asked them do they agree with me & they said no. Bottom line: they don't wanna give up that advantage they have to level the playing field.

I hate to say it because I need my reparations regardless. But I know where I live and I know how evil these people are. If we got reparations the price of everything would quadruple. A house in the ghetto already shot up to 100k just own. If every black person in America had 10 million dollars in their bank account all of a sudden it would cost 1 billion dollars to live. And we'd still be at the bottom cause keeping us at the bottom is the name of the game

(AP) - President Joe Biden’s White House is giving its support to studying reparations for Black Americans, boosting Democratic lawmakers who are renewing efforts to create a commission on the issue amid the stark racial disparities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. That was in 2021 when democrats control the house. Republicans control the house now and the issue is dead once again. So when I hear I'm not voting for Biden....what I hear is the profound ignorance of a large swath of black people. You will keep losing because a lot of y'all are lazy, ignorant, and don't want to research anything. The worst part is y'all don't have a clue about how the political process works. Last thing I would say...if you are not voting for Biden Republicans win. That means you lose and will never be a part of the conversation

They haven't figured out yet that 99% of the black population could care less what a HBCU or TV personality has to say nor do we agree with it majority of the time. I know I am not Yvette, but I noticed you didn't mention the Native Americans. Who helped the Native Americans get reparations? They received and still receive reparations. If we aren't supposed to get it because it never happened to us, why do younger Natives get it? It didn’t happen to them either, correct? My point…is the same standards that apply to our exclusion from reparation are never applied to the “others.” We have never been polled on whether those groups should receive reparations, but all those mentioned have been polled on whether we deserve them. The majority stated no. Finally, black immigrants who never had an ancestor enslaved in the USA said they should be included if we receive reparations. Meanwhile, Caricom is assisting the Caribbean with reparation negotiations. Will they double dip if included with ours? I am past the point of anger. I am simply tired of the unfairness that we face as a people.

Renowned Scholar John Hope Franklin farther attorney -B C (Buck Colbert) Franklin survived the 1921 Race Massacre and was interned for several days in Convention Hall, more recently known as the Brady Theater. Following the destruction, he set up a tent in the Greenwood District and began working to defend the rights of massacre victims. With the passage of a new fire ordinance, the Tulsa City Commission effectively prevented Greenwood residents from re-building. Franklin brought the City of Tulsa and Mayor T.D. Evans to trial, and ultimately won the case, allowing the reconstruction of the Greenwood community. Though efforts were made, Franklin and I. H. Spears unsuccessfully processed the insurance claims of Greenwood’s businesses and homeowners.

I'm of a high school education, but I definitely have knowledge enough to know who these scriptures are talking about, and it ain't ppl from European descent. We, so-called African Americans and all blaq descendants of slaves are the ones scattered throughout the earth from our homeland and have never returned yet. I say all that to say, y'all better think long and hard about who the world has been fooled into believing who TMHs chosen ppl are, and our return and repair, with our own land and own government, ran by our own ppl, let me show y'all a future prophecy; Jeremiah 30:1-24 kjv, Isaiah 49:1-26 kjv . Y'all better realize that the war over in the Holy land is already written, and there won't be any peace over there until the true inheritors of that land return, and by the way, it didn't happen in 1948. Our reparations claim is tied to our true identity and true nationality, it's tied to all the atrocities that happened to our ppl that's written in these scriptures. Shalom Shalom family

African diaspora may be helpful for those it can also benefit from but I Don't think that is the best way to get reparations for native Black Americans who descended from slavery. Also, you don't have to feel sorry for ADOS seeing there's groups such as this organization working loudly and proudly for the people, no need for secret work... the worst that can happen is we all keep striving in the land of the free

Is Yvette Carnell trying to argue that American foreign policy is none of black people's business?

The point went over your head. It’s ok.

@@BreakingBrown Instead of a cheap personal attack you could have explained how you were misinterpreted - but of course you don't have to. It just that I have noticed a pattern where the progressive pro black alternative media seems to be going out of their way to argue that what is going on over in Gaza is none of black peoples' business. Can one be pro black and pro black american reparations while being concerned about the genocide going on over in palestine?

Take your selfish behind out of here. Out of all that's discussed this is what you point out? GTFO.

You live in a house with your family. One uncle is on crack, a daughter walking the street at night and a husband that can't find work, and you don't know how to pay, the mortgage or get groceries each month. But since the neighbor who just moved in across the street can't feed their kids or pay their mortgage you leave your house in turmoil to take care of your neighbor's home. Instead of making sure your own family isn't destitute. If you say so go to your neighbor's house you are a disgrace. And if they or the other neighbors don't get it they lack empathy; so why should I give it to them when clearly they don't for me!

@@freemn Why do Black Americans have to always be the moral currency and the superheroes of the planet? What have any of these people done to improve the lives of Black Americans ? Yet, Black Americans are supposed protest and stick their necks out for others ? The world has gotten entitled to Black Americans advocating for every one else...BUT BLACK AMERICANS. Look, I don't wish any wrong on anyone. However, it's disingenuous to sit up here in the comments section screaming about Palestine when these people have no history of helping Black Americans.
