Not for me this one mate, when you mentioned lost vikings I thought it was going to involve more thought. Looks more like running whilst trying to pat your head and rub your tummy.

Mate, that is such a spot on description of the gameplay LOL. Yeah, the Lost Vikings mention got me interested, but in reality there's only the faintest similarity.

I'm not sure how I feel about all these modern releases on the MegaDrive. I often wonder who they are aiming them at and why are people actually buying them when there are much better older titles in the system? ..,🤷‍♂️✌️

I think the only people buying some of these new titles are 100% collectors who simply must own every game regardless of how good it actually is. There are some good new titles coming out like Astebros, but also a lot of stuff that's mediocre (at best) like Life on Earth or this very simple game that's a 5 minute distraction at best...

To play devil's advocate a bit, I think there's something to be said about giving some fresh air to a beloved retro console. It's fun to see a new release and get that wave of nostalgia. That being said, it is a shame it's all been fairly underwhelming.

5:53 Why don't pickup items disappear when a character touches them? You can see that you got 4 arrows from the quiver and the quiver item even blinks (to signify that it was actuated??) but does not disappear. What a weird design decision. 😅

He disappears, just for quite a long time. The animation does not play instantly.

@@AB0BA_69 If you played the demo version, you would see that the item was taken immediately and again, there is no need to draw hasty conclusions and attribute something that does not exist to other people. For a fairly short period of time developing games on retro consoles, we are pretty well trained in such matters.

1:47 Oooof, the in-game art looks.... very hamfisted. The expression on the blonde girl's face.... Yikes! Whole game looks really boring though. Zero depth. Like a flash game from NewGrounds I would play for 5-10 minutes. Not something I'd pay full price for even though their full color manual looks nice.
