I can barely type these words. I have been waiting for this song since The Pacific Amphitheater show in SoCal back in 2016. This is a bold statement to make, but I truly believe this song is his best yet. Better than “Wanted” and “I Want Crazy” combined. To say that this man is a talent would be a criminal understatement. Hunter’s lyrics and composition are not just a spark... they are a ray of light. Mr. Hayes, it was a blessing beyond belief when you brought me up on stage to sing a duet with you back at The OC Fair in 2018. I was at that concert also! It’s an amazing song and I remember hearing for the 1st time back then! My friend that was with me fell in love with this song also. It takes on a different meaning after losing my husband in January 2019. The night of that concert was our 10 year wedding anniversary so I remember the date very clearly being there.

Hunter! You genius! The scene where you say “as i watch our dreams collide” and then you’re watching a memory reel basically in the warehouse and her swing looks so much like a dream catcher.. i meannnn the creativity there. Wow. And all the emotion you display in every scene as well without even saying anything really paints all the loud emotions you hear in the song but are all very silent moments in the video itself- both the video and song reflect each other so well and really overlap along side each other so perfectly.

I heard this song years ago and cried the first time I heard it, because I resonated with it so much at a time when I was vulnerable about the whole situation and NEEDED THIS SONG. i needed someone to word the mess inside my head. And, you did that perfectly. The effect that a fan-recorded blurry low-quality video of this song had on me is mind-blowing. so obviously I was soooo looking forward to listening to the crystal clear perfection of the studio version. And lemme just tell you, it wrecked me up. I sat there last night with tears just streaming down my face for 10 minutes when I heard it last night. It brought back all the happy memories along with the bittersweet parting memories with my person. He was the most magical person I've ever met and he's the one that got away. Thank you Hunter for this song and the album. For sharing such a vulnerable part of you with us to be vulnerable to. This album is the most full-circle album I've ever heard. You are right, when you get to know someone and around that person for awhile, your worlds collide and when they are gone it is exactly like you put it: you are left in this stuck place thinking how am I to live without this person. 2017 I got ghosted by a guy I was getting to know and beginning to think the relationship might go somewhere, then he blew me off. But the rejection made me face my insecurities and after reflecting I am better. Not better because he's out of my life but better because of what I learned about myself through the process. For him to get this far due to help and support from his parents, musicians, and friends, he is TALENTED! He puts his heart and soul in every one of his songs. That is a special quality that all musicians have, but I think Hunter has it the most! He connects to his fans through his music, and puts himself out there for the world to see. For him to go this far, Hunter deserves every good thing coming his way! And another thing, this song IS special. You know why? Because it displays raw emotion. He puts his feelings in his songs in a way that we can relate to because we've all had our heart broken and having to find our own path after that heartbreak. When I first heard this song, I was in tears. I had felt so validated and knew someone else had been experiencing the same battles within themselves and spiritually that I had been. This song strengthened me. I battled addiction and self hatred for a long time. I had been through so much trauma and had been writing my own music, many of my own lyrics being centered around God. I lost my Dad 12-12-2020 and this song hit so close to home for me, it’s amazing how one song can be interpreted at least a Million different ways. It can be a love song, a sad missing you song, an inspirational song and so much more if you open your heart to not only hear and feel the Lyrics but also the Notes and the tones of his voice. His voice mixed with the wonderfully written lyrics convey so much; I can see the story playing out in my head but the video did an amazing job of showing us how Hunter himself sees the song. This is such an amazing song. I used to listen to my Hunter Hayes Encore CD every night. About a month ago I rediscovered my love for Hunter's music and I am so glad he is still making new music for us. This song gave me the same feelings I felt when I first heard the encore album. You don't feel like you belong in this place the number of times ive felt this lyric is to many but i keep fighting from my past of bullying lost love lose of mom i keep fighting cause its who i am but its what i will always do cause i wont quit even thought this song hits hard for me and while i feel i may never find love again i know i will one day but im so closed off emotional that i dont connect with people anymore because the pain ive felt for years its hard to trust anyone especially emtionally i know if i dont try i will never find it but at the same time if i takes me this long to get over one broke heart how many more times will it happen and when will the pain go away
