The sign of a good sportsman. Whether it's fishing, hunting, furtrapping, etc it's incredibly important. We take the death of an animal very seriously and to make light of it is to lose touch with nature. We're the ones who help fund conservation efforts and it's also our job to practice our sport/hobby safely. When nature is happy, we're happy.

Name one hunter that doesn’t think about ethics In a hunt. It’s in the hunters Ed courses. The best way to dispatch a big game animal is with a lung/heart shot from broadside. It promises quick death, and you don’t have to track it too far. **PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!!** you have a 40 degree line of fire for small game hunting. It keeps your hunting buddies safe, and offers. A fair opportunity for others to get a kill. If you harvest an animal, don’t display it. It’s respectful to non hunters and the property owner. And I have only gone over 1/1000 of the ethics lessons you’d expect in a Hunters Ed course.

Excellent comment. Here in Scandinavia that is something that has improved a lot over the years. Long gone are the days with people blazing away with no respect whatsoever. Those kind of "hunters" have no place.@@Chamomileable

In Europe it's pretty common for dogs to be the part of the hunt. Just the training has to be really good but Europe is old continent full of people who do their jobs for generations so it's not that hard to get a really good hunting dog or even bird.

Glad you brought up the weight of the bullet. Mostly, I hunt paper targets, but the foot pounds of energy is important when it comes to large game. Thanks for the video.

That part he brings up about the beagles and being used and trained to be hunting dogs and Coyotes is unfortunately true. I know a person, a family friend, someone who was out and had his 2 trained Dobermans scenting for a white tail that he shot, a buck, and some coyotes smelled it and were also not far. The Doberman's are well trained, and very gentle around people especially kids, but they took off like a bolt and ran right for those coyotes. He comes up behind them, on his 2 Doberman's surrounded and trying their best to fight off a whole pack of probably about 7-10 coyotes, what they don't actually say about coyotes (especially here in upstate NY), is that they are pretty long, but actually don't look that intimidating until they're closing the distance with you in only seconds. They're not that much bigger than an average-sized dog. Like they're comparable, in size and bulk, to a medium sized dog (like a Dalmatian or a Border Collie). They weigh about 30-60 pounds but are very slim and sleek. Still very muscular, and definitely don't want to get bit by one either. Very strong bite forces, but maybe not as muscular or strong bite as a Doberman, definitely not as muscular or strong as a Pitbull. He told me the story of how they were injured, but had done a LOT more damage on quite a few of the smaller coyotes. These weren't even actually fully grown Dobermans. He said that he wound up having to shoot 2 of them dead (both males), the others turned tail and ran off, but even though he had no tags (he also didn't really have a choice because they were running him down) it was still stuffed and he even has one of the male's heads up in his living room.

Coyotes here in SoCal are about the same size and weight of an average German Shepherd. Maybe 50 or so pounds. They are not intimidating to an average person, but they will steal your dog if they have the chance. I can't imagine a better circumstance if you had a couple of Dobermans confronting a pack of coyotes. If it was a pair of pitbulls then well... say a prayer for the poor coyotes. Personally, I'd prefer the Dobermans, but if fate put a pitbull in my care, then I would still fall in love with it all the same.

People also forget the pack mentality, not to mention their animalistic instincts. Similar to a mob of people etc. A single monstrous beast can be taken down by a village of many idiots .. while animals who have been fighting their entire life to survive, learn & become stronger together as a pack & are small/ agile they can take down larger animals or even humans.

Gamology, I've got you a new idea for a video: 911 operator plays "911 Operator". Or at least reacts to it. Alternatively there's also "112 Operator", with bulk of the action taking place in Europe. The best thing sold to us is that you can download a map of most cities in the world and on example play in your own city.

I have hunted moose almost every year for five years this autumn and I have seen 4 alive moose during these years three of them at the same time two years ago and one in my first year all of them running and out of range. I’m still going back every year for one day maybe it’s my turn, a woman in the same team as me shot her first moose last year and she has probably hunted moose for 10 years and a friendly my uncle waited even longer

When he started to talk about the beagle, all I could think about was: So which dog to I bring if I ever go out Deer hunting? I went over all the breeds I remenbered in my head, like: "Should it be a little silent dog? like a Terrier or something? Or a big slender dog ?🤔" It is driving me crazy! 🤣

If that were me, the beagle would be nowhere near my big game hunt. It’d just be a pet. And I’ve had beagles. They’re so playful and friendly. Truly an amazing companion. But… it may come with me on a rabbit hunt

You can take far shots as long as you know what's behind it and know your weapon very well a better zoom on a scope helps its a must Shooting far with a low zoomed scope is unethical but know your weapon know your capabilities have the right equipment for the game species and the distance and you'll be fine and know safety as well
