I am so thankful someone finally looked into Momoze’s beast! I have thought about this for a long time (frankly longer than I should have) And I also believe the fact that the beast chose to target Wobble is also significant since it was a toddler (who was recently a baby like Wobble) That stole all of her mothers attention, I think the nen beast wouldn’t want to target her brother due to not wanting to hurt the mother so it targeted the only other infant in the succession war.

This is a masterful breakdown. Togashi would be Morena blushing. Also, Kastro is not talked about nearly enough. Even though he lost to Hisoka, he genuinely could have won. And I’ll stand on that opinion forever. However, he was needed to paint an example for nen purposes and he wasn’t a main character so he died.

U missed one key thing about kurapika’s steal change it represents the more he goes after revenge the more he becomes like chrollo. Personally I think the best example has to be knuckle. He’s ability represents so much of his character. - it represents how gentle he is as it actually prevents damage when he punches people and the ability doesn’t kill it merely prevents the opponent from fighting - it represents both his natural to desire and brawl but equally his desire to run away as the ability was intentionally design to facilitate this. Connecting to his history of many brawls and to his history of evade police. - it represents his love of cute things - it represents that despite his thuggish appearance the man is immensely intelligent and relies on mathematics more than anything else - it represents his selfless nature as it requires him to help even his opponent. The ability facilitates a simple goal but the means by which it facilitates it demonstrates an underlying humanity and intellegence that is opposite from knuckles outward appearance.

As Per togashi sensei’s nen chart, you are an Enhancer and your ability is “Beautiful Knowledge”, it is a genius level ability, where your understanding of HxH is genius level, one level below Ultimate.

I feel like some of the Phantom Troupes nen abilites are so dark when taking in thier childhood. Machi: Her wires may cut through things, but it also is primarily based to put things back together no matter how bad it looks Fetian- While Feitan may seem cool as a cucumber or disintrested, he stores his pain and rage. When he unleashes it, it can damage everyone around him. Almost like in a way he knows what that outward hatred would to to the people he seems to care about.

I would love to see Gon take a page out of Kite’s book and set some conditions to make rock, paper scissors a little more risk/reward. Not necessarily exactly like you win or lose but more like Kite’s where chance picks the attack in exchange for like say less charge time or something

With regard to Bill, I think there's a strong case to be made for Bill being Chrollo's target. His hatsu could be a way to "level up" Skill Hunter and all the powers inside it, and it makes sense that in order to use it in that way Chrollo would need to first modify Skill Hunter's rules. The hatsu is also simple enough to explain that it makes sense for Chrollo to expect to find someone somewhere who possesses it, but the rarity of an enhancer wanting to take a support role could explain why it's been so hard to find up til now.

another aspect of bungee gum is that it can attach and detach according to hisoka's whim and he said something like today treasure can become a garbage tomorrow reflection he can be very clingy but can lose interest at any moment I think terror's ability also reflects his entitlement to have every thing his way, he thinks he's the best person to ever live and reality should bind to his will and parallel future does something like that chrollo is very observant and believes humans to be very interesting and nen reflects an individual's personality and he said skill hunter allows him to know the true darkness of the soul of the original owner of the ability illumi uses nen to control people and corpses like puppets and he doesn't put much value on human life, for him people are just meat bags who are potential targets or means to kill a target great video btw

Don’t forget Netero, who used his ability to mask the fact that he, as a natural enhancer, was still limited by the confines of being a human. His ability has 100 hands and is the perfect martial arts MACHINE, because Netero could never actually become that himself, despite training his body for decades upon decades. And then there’s Morel, who’s just a chill guy that wants to smoke his pipe. Great video as always!

A cool interpretation of tserris' ability could be that it manifested from his deep-seated abhorrence of ignorance(we see a panel where he mentions it). His disdain for ignorance was so intense that he subconsciously developed the ability to see into the future

i dunno why but prince benjamin's nen beast (which wasn't mentioned), looks more like it's posed to be dangerous to benjamin than to others (that huge mouth right over his head) making me wonder if it's some sort of trap, like he's excluded from the war by the king for some unclear reason and the beast will bite his head off during the right conditions. this is a huge leap based on no evidence.
